I think it's pretty much impossible to argue that...

I think it would be harder to pick out 3-4 reserves from the time frame.

G's I might go with Moore, Esterkamp

F Cerisier, Miller, Cowan

I would go with Larranaga over Dakich for coach.

I'd start Esterkamp over Larranaga. I'd have Dan coach the team. I'd tell Netter, "don't call us..."

I might take Tony Reid over Larranaga though...he could shoot the 3 ball just as well!

I'd take Howard Chambers and Moore as guards on reserve and Javier Crespo, Cowan, and Esterkamp as my PF, C, SF! Larranaga and Dakich would be a tough call...I'd have DD has head coach and JL as an assistant to keep things going smooth.

well i'd say you guys are missing pardon in there somewhere. That guy was one of my fav. players of all time. He didn't score a lot but he was a playmaker!!

line up

I would take both Reid and Reimold over Jay Larranaga. I'd even consider Pardon over Larranaga, even though they played different positions. Hell, while I'm at it, I'd even consider Esterkamp over Larranaga.

I would take this back to 1990 and include our finest, true point guard from 90 to present, sorry B Pardon, but Clinton Venable was the best at dishing, running an uptempo offense and scoring when needed. . ..

As for coach of the team?

I'd put Steve Merfeld as the head man. Stan Heath as an assistant along with Kieth Noftz and have Marc Ivaroni and Jimmy Larranaga selling popcorn.

I too would take Johny Reims over Big L. That guy plays with more heart and dedication than any athlete ive ever seen in my life.

Unless you are looking for the person who dropped the best f-bomb at the year end banquet or the guy who contributed most to the Wood County Justice Center.

I think that you can't argue with Daniels, McCleod, Stacey, and Matela to start, but I definitely have to think that the coaches son doesn't get the start over Moore or Reid. Those two were a couple of the best defenders that we had during that time frame. Metz, you are so right, Reid spotting up and hitting the three was a thing of beauty. I would have to play Estercamp in front of Larranaga also, he would be a great sixth or seventh man of the bench. Pardon would be the spark plug to come in and get the offense going when it needs a jumpstart, and Cowan to come in and play as big as his small frame allowed him too. I really loved how he would bang with the big bodies with his small frame. I would have to take Coach Dakich to head the team, because he coached almost everyone of those guys and got a lot out of them. Coach L couldn't win the MAC in his last year with what I would say was definitely the best team that year in the conference. We did win the regular season, but should have been able to do more.

I have to go with the consensus here, although I would have Esterkamp in there over Larranaga. My lineup would be:

G-Daniels
G-McCleod
G-Esterkamp
F-Stacey
F-Matela

Top subs would be Pardon, Larranaga, and Reimold. The question is, who would our subs be inside?

subs inside would be javier crespo and phill murray
