JJHUDDLE "report": Floyd in a car crash?

Post by OptionQB »

I don't know if it was intended on being humorous or not, but "someone who had visited St. John's earlier in the day(Monday) mentioned that Floyd was in a car accident and it was serious"

Anyone else have information on this?

Could that have been a reference to the program?

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Falconboy »

Man!!!! You have no idea what is been like not being able to post for the past few weeks. Words can't describe what is going here. I'm still in shocked amazement at what is going with these players. Lewis leaving , possibley Wright along with Hobson and now Floyd supposedly in a car accident?? What the Heck!!!!!!!! Man, the difference between our football program and the basketball program is like night and day. Maybaye it IS time for new leadership. This has gone beyond not being able to get athletic players at small forward position , its now gotten to the point where we barely have a team now!! I could talk for a millenium about how Dakich's strickt rules or this or that is making our players leave, but what ever it is doesn't matter now , we need to fix it now however we can , as soon as as possible.

I saw that happen on Wooster back in 1984 or so. I don't think we can blame Dan for that one.....Although I do recall seeing some kid in an IU jacket lurking around...

No, he was rocking a killer set of "Flock of Seagulls" hair horns.

One of my favorite lines from a song:

"With auburn hair and tawny eyes....
The kind of eyes that hypnotize you through...."

Floyd was in an automobile accident in Colorado. I can confirm that. It was a pretty serious wreck I guess, but he's expected to be OK.

Fox 36 covered the Floyd and Lewis storires. Nothing much to add except that Opie rolled his SUV three times on his way home from Colorado. He's on crutches with a severe cut to his calf (may need surgery) but he should be good to go in a month or so.

I'm happy enough with a three gaurd rotation of Floyd, Wright and Montgomery. If Robinson can give us 5-10 minutes a night, I'll be ecstatic.
The frontcourt is definitely going to have to carry this team.

Josh Almanson and Cory Eyink really need to assert themselves or John Reimold will be shot by January.

You didn't catch one subtle nuance of that report. Floyd was apparently helping his friend Shane Komives move back into the BG area from Colorado. They didn't mention if Shane was in that vehicle too though.

A Flock of Seagulls

Incidentally, while in Portland last weekend, Maryellen and I ran in the Nike/VH1 Run Hit Wonder race. One of the bands along the route WAS Flock Of Seagulls!!

When I ran past, they were singing "Space Age Love Song"....it was really cool!!

I had a disposable camera with me as I ran and snapped a quick shot of them.

If you click on it and zoom in, you'll notice that none of the band were wearing the trademark hairstyle. :-( Some of the runners were though!

My Seagulls story

Post by rollalong94 »

I met those guys while working in the Flats a few years back. They did a concert at the Basement. They played a bunch of newer material, and the crowd was begging for the old classics.
They got mad. I guess I can understand that they are artists and want recognition for their new songs, but c'mon, they will be remembered for the old stuff no matter what. Give the crowd what they came for!
