Tip off in a few. Assuming we're not absolutely gassed from the last 2 games we should get the win here. I would like Thomas to see more mins though.

2-1 for the weekend, with a strong showing against Minny... I'm VERY happy with this performance!

I missed today's game (don't ever have children). But they did it without me. If someone would have offered me 2-1 before this weekend, with a good loss, I would have taken it, no questions. I don't know if they could have done better with Miller/Knight. This team has some GUTS.
Now if I'm the first SOB to start bad-mouthing the team in January you guys/gals hold me to this.
AZZ!!!

I made a comment recently that we might be better next year. I think that we might be very good next year but both Clements and Moten are playing lights out.
Who goes to the bench in the first game back for Knight and Miller? Moten or Clements. Having a surplus of big athletic guards is what a lot of the MAC teams that have really shown something in the tourney have had in recent years. I think this team could be really really good. The chemistry might be odd getting Miller and Knight back in, but Miller has always been better as a second option and not as the Point forward. He was trying to do to much last year. He can do so many little things great, with a better team this year, who knows how good he can be if he accepts that role.
I think this is the team that breaks into the tourney. This team is deep, versatile and athletic.
From what I can see the only newcomer that will make much of a difference will be Brown, who has surpassed Sims on the depth chart as Jaku's backup. Next Monday cant come fast enough.

2-1 without Miller and Knight, IMO, is very solid...and the team gave MN a real scare last night.
It's gonna be a fun ride this year...
GO FALCONS!

I don't think Knight will disrupt the chemistry as much as Miller would. And to me it shouldn't matter who goes to the bench, they have proved themselves to be gamers. Miller was the one in the doghouse this past summer he has to earn his spot back.

I'm on board with Ziggy & renorvis. Knight, last year, seemed very good at just taking things in the flow of the game/offense. If anything he might have needed to be more assertive as we didn't have an abundance of scoring options. Miller, OTOH, tried to do too much as a point forward type player at times last year. This team would be best served for Miller to primarily act off the ball and cut/screen. I have faith that Jakubowski, Brown, and even Clements will get him the ball when he's in good position.
It was very nice to see our guards step up and play well, I thought that would be the weakness of this team. If they play well all season I think we'll be in for a very fun year.

Does the game against Concordia count in our official W/L record since they are D-II?

I agree with you guys. Miller will need to step off a little and let the game come to him. The good news is that our talent level is higher, so he shouldn't feel the need to force things. The last thing this team needs is another Martin Samarco.
