Seems odd to me that you announce the plans, but then fail to release the pictures on the website.

There are a couple pics up on the Sentinel's site:

Yeah, that was my initial reaction. Very misleading headline.

I don't have pictures- which I would have no idea how to scan in any how, so I will give you as much description as I can so you can "place" things when you see the pictures.

It's in Lot 6. Wooster Street parallels it. The "front" that you see in that picture is what you see when you come off of the interstate. The back of it backs up to Haven House. The southwest corner is the Practice Court. So stuff can go in in the gym if needed and practice can happen.

When you first walk in will be a team store- that will be open for people that get off the interstate and can buy BGSU stuff. Speaking as a spouse of someone who has to find the bookstore in every campus in the nation to get a shirt- that will be neat
.Also downstairs is the ticket office. You can park, walk in and get tickets! There are also lots of glass displays and area for Mickey Cochrane's Closet Treasures. He is busy catalouging everything and many changing exhibits will run through there.

You will get to your seats by going "UP" to the concourse level. Then down the steps to your seats. GC said that the last seat in the Stroh is only 4 feet further away than ANderson Arena. So the House that Roars will continue to do so. He said that he wanted the noisest bleachers for our students. That it is an intimidating place to come and play for opponents. There is a big student section behind one basket.

All basketball and Volleyball offices are on the South side and the locker rooms. Floor level of course.
There are men's home and visitor, women' home and visitor, Volleyball and another set for High school games or matches, so they stay out of the Team locker rooms.

STUDENT PARKING WILL INCREASE IN OTHER AREAS. NO LOSS OF STUDENT SPACES.

AS stated before- no boxes or suites, but there will be club seating. It is on the Wooster street side. I think everything but the student bleachers are "bucket" seats- what you call regular seats. He wants the bleachers so the students can stand. The North side downstairs is pretty much mechanical and stuff. Buses pull in the back between the Stroh and Haven House

This is pretty generic. I'm sorry that I can't detail more, but I have NO sense of direction at all so I can't tell you what else is where but the practice court. And the big AZZ 23 foot FALCON will be out front. facing East.

Materials and thoughts of the Sebo Center influences the design.

Thanks AAF!

It looks very Sebo-ish, which is cool. I thought at first glance that it looked a bit like an airplane hangar, but looking at the smallish pic on the S-T site again, I like it.

Not that it will take the place of walking through campus to get to the bookstore or ticket office, but parking-wise, this has to make things TONS easier for people to get in and grab tickets and bookstore items and check out the HOF, which I can't wait to see!!!

Can't wait to see more pics!

Something I noticed at OSU when we played there, no noise. The crowd was trying to get loud and you could carry on a conversation with the person sitting next to you without raising your voice. 1500 in Anderson Arena are noisier than 12,000+ at the Schott.

Glad to know their is going to be a spot for Mickey and the archives. I did not hear anything about that last night and Mickey was trying to find out what was going on.

GC said it should be a lot easier to stop by and pick up tickets and BGSU memorabilia when the center is opened.

Student parking will expand over by lot 12. May move the marching band practice field slightly further north (and could possibly avoid it altogether).

It does have some resemblance to the Sebo Center with the appearance.

Many naming opportunities still available. Look for a brick sale in the summer (can't tell you the price). Still have about $1.15 million to raise and the public portion of the fund raising campaign should begin sometime around February or March.

GC hopes to break ground in the fall with the basketball teams playing the 2011-12 season in the confines of the new STROH CENTER!

Wow. Just Wow.

I am blown away and excited about the final product!

Still wish there was a way to carry over Harold Anderson's name. . . I'm sure there is, we just haven't thought of it yet.

So is the location of the Stroh Center going to be where Lot 6 currently exists?

So the only bench/General Admission/Student seating will be behind the basket?

If that's the case some of us are going to have to coordinate the purchase of our season tickets to ensure we're all in the same area still. I cannot wait to see this thing happen.

I'm not sure seating has been 100% solidified yet... but yeah, that's a good point about coordinating ticket purchases.... because I'm not a big fan of sitting behind the basket.

Those pictures are flat out amazing. Anyone else notice the falcon flying over the last picture?

I just hope the behind the basket student section is not like OSUs. Those seats are miserable and you cant see the entire floor. Our side student section was much better.

While I agree the current section is better for the students, I don't think it's out of line to charge higher amounts for the premium seats. At Anderson the students get, for free, the very best seats in the house. It's a great perk for the students that go, but I don't think it's that out of line to try and grab some revenue for those seats, either.
