This was a very frustrating game to watch. We have virtually no offense when the shots aren't falling. We go into a shell and seem lost.

5 straight home losses to Akron, 8 in a row over all. :x

Congrats to the Zips...they made their shots.

What was the final score?
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

62-52, we watched on ESPNU. BG led 31-29 at the half.

62-52. BG score only 21 points in the second half. Nice crowd tonight and the team lays an egg. Reminds me of the football season. Then people wonder why no comes to the games. Very tough to watch tonight. Played well in the first half but shouldn't come out for the second half.

Did I mention that our guards are not getting it done! Someone needs to kick JoJak in the tail and tell him to start taking control of this team. He is the point guard and the colonel of the troops. Our seniors are clueless. I am looking forward to see Luke Kraus or Dee Brown at the point next year.

I haven't been able to see the men play as much as I would like this season, but from what I can see from the Akron game the team seems to be getting worse instead of better. They don't seem to be collectively playing as a unit.

I should be able to see more games in the coming weeks so I hope I am proven wrong.

In all games (including the cream-puffs), BG is + 98 in the first half scoring and NEGATIVE 12 in the second half.

I recommend Orr let the boys have a potty break at intermission so that they stop p!ssing down their legs in the second period. :-D

5 Problems

1. Jo-Jak plays the whole game at the end the Offense starts at half court

2. Everyone watches Nate Miller ... no movement off the ball

3. We go as Knight Goes

4. What happened to E. Marshall

5. Marc Larson is a nice kid and sometimes I think he has more of a clue how the offense functions than anyone else... however kid should be at heidelberg college...he would be outstadning D111 player

Bonus: DC need to learn how to play "D" on a Pick and Pop. He looked so lazy going over screen instead of fightin through them

I think when Orr gets his guys the team will improve especially the all around athletism of the team... I was flipping been games and my wife mentioned that BG and Akron looked like a high school game compared to the other game I was wacthing the other game was a Horizon League GAME

Also, remember that we'll 2 new junior guards next year in Graves and Goins. Both will be very good upgrades. By that time, Jak will be an upperclassman. We'll be tough at the guard next year.

Both of these points have been very frustrating for me this season. I'm completely bewildered why Larson is starting and getting so many minutes. What's worse, it's at the expense of Marcshall, who is talented. Their minutes should be reversed. Marcshall should be playing 20-30 minutes per night. This is something I just don't understand AT ALL.

I agree with both points...

For Larson not to be able to finish around the rim at 6'9" is just incredible. He should be getting 15 minutes a game of the bench as another big body to bang on opposing big men. Nothing more.

Marcshall doesn't seem to be near the player he was before the injury. Not sure if that would change if he got more playing time? He doesn't seem to have the spring and first step he had before. The injury may be keeping him from more minutes.

We can only go a Knight goes if the guards get him the ball in good position. Last night I agree that he forced his first couple of shots. He went to the free throw line and scored a couple easy points but never really got into a groove offensively Plus the refs called some horrible fouls on him and Otis.

I saw Anthony Higgins (Akron point) play in the state championships last year in Columbus. He hasn't missed a beat since then, bringing the ball up, NBA quickness, and a good outside shooter should make him a strong contender as frosh of the year.
BG seems to play good aggresive defense, but has poor shooters. They will be hard pressed to win any road games the rest of the season.

Might defenseive play be the key to Marschall's playing minutes?
