A 3-21 team that has won only ONE game in the MAC this year comes into our place and makes us look awful? We 've scored only 20 points midway through the second half?

Man we had detter trun this around quick or all the hard work the last month isn't going to mean much. Another BG team can't stand prosperity.

Trying to understand....

I sure don't understand why when Scott Thomas makes an error, Coach Orr takes him out almost immediately, and he sits the bench almost the entire game after that. The kid played 5 minutes, had one rebound, an assist and hit a 3 point shot. He made an error and was immediately taken out.

I noticed that and it's not just with Scotty. He also does that with Marschall a few games.

Damn! WTF? First EMU in football, now basketball? I didn't see this one coming.....15 points at halftime on your home floor to a team coming into the game at 3-21 and 0-11 on the road??? It's been a real nice few weeks of basketball but damn did things come to a stop tonight. We'd better get ready for Buffalo on Wednesday, remember the bomb the Bulls dropped on us up there last year? GO BG!!!

The sad part

Scott missed the defense on a guy that was hotter than a $2 pistol. So he sits on the bench and gets like 3 minutes playing time in the first half.

I have never seen a worse played and coached half of basketball in my life!

Next year, I'm seriously thinking of dropping the men's tix and just going to the women's games. This has got to stop.

Wow...... that was pitiful. Zero energy from players or coaches.

I'd like to point out that EMU's one MAC win was their only division one win.

But really, what a weird day. Ball State and Buffalo score margin never got bigger than 2 for the last fifteen minutes, with the Cards winning. NIU takes Akron wire to wire, and EMU does it to you guys as well.

West went 3-0 today after going 3-24 for the rest of the crossover games. Just crazy... I don't think anybody saw that coming.

The sad thing...

That is seriously poor coaching if you ask me. That is punishing…not coaching. Coach Orr has stated many times how Thomas plays with so much energy and brings energy to the team. That is exactly what they needed last night. The kid has shown promise in the last five or so game’s, at least leave him in longer than 5 minutes and see what he can do to change the momentum of the game. If he doesn’t produce then take him out, but it’s ridiculous to take him out after making one error and not putting him back in the game until a few minutes before the end of the game.

It was a very difficult game to watch....especially after watching LP and the women light up CMU for 94 pts. It was U G L Y.

We still had a great time with Falcon Fanatic and Pollyeyes was as tasty as ever...and Jake missed the 50/50 at the women's game by 9 numbers.

Will be heading back up for men's hoops and hockey this Sat...

GO FALCONS

Maybe the west had a collective stick up its butt... but UB has been playing pretty bad ball for a couple of weeks now so Ball state beating us was not surprising...

As to EMU they did come into the season with much higher expectations maybe they are just getting to it (keep in mind how bad kent started)..

It had nothing to do with EMU playing well. They played like one of the worst teams in Division 1 Basketball. It had everything to do with the lethargic effort from Bowling Green. 2 hours of just disgusting basketball.

With the (unfortunate) exception of Zane Gay. Guy just couldn't miss a 3 for a while there.

After his pre-game behavior, that was extremely disappointing to see.

The two post players Eastern has are two of the best, if not the best, in the MAC. Those two guys are studs. Eastern's coach should be embarrassed that their record isn't any better than what it is with those two big boys.
