Game Tonight

Post by 60yearsofsicsic »

Currently BG is losing 32-20 with 15 minutes left in the game to EMU... I think that this MAC Tourney is going to be wide open and i dont think there is a team that cant win it. This year parody reins supreme... I can see anyone who gets hot winning it even a team like Toledo who has had a horrible year if they get hot could end up winning it... I think coaching will make the difference.... becuase of this I will say Akron or Miami takes it... what does eveyone else think?

I agree...and I'm tired of us laying eggs. Soon as I get sucked back into believing, we pull this crap.

53-47 with 2:36 left. We really need to pull this one out. A bad loss is one thing. This would be a horrendous loss.

Its over. How many times can this basketball program and football program completely drop the ball when they have momentum. 6 game winning streak, double header against a miserable team. Lose.

You guys hit the nail on the head. They always do stuff like this... You have the chance to sweep the West and you go out and completely lay an egg like that?? Its embarrassing. They were missing free throws and layups and getting outrebounded...it was like they just didnt care tonight...come on guys, you need to take advantage of a situation, when Buffalo loses to Ball State....you have a chance to get closer to the lead and a bye in the tourney...its a damn shame that they played this way.

For some reason, I was debating whether to stick around after the women's game today for the men's game, and I had a flashback to October 4th when EMU's sh** football team came into the Doyt and beat us. I thought, no, that wouldn't seriously happen again. We're on a win streak, the team's hot. No way. Not against another sh** EMU team who's 3-21. It was at this point that I realized I had better do homework instead.

It was the best decision I've made regarding BG sports all year.

I guess after three weeks of crap, today was the West's day to strike back. Ball State, Northern and EMU all pull the upset. At 7-4 BG is still in great shape to get a first round bye in the tourney if they get it back together, but wow a loss as bad as that has to be damaging to the psyche.

It is easy to figure how bad the men were, when Loren Prohaska outscored the entire men's team in the first half 16-15. I'm not too sure she wouldn't have done that against the men tonight! ;-) Even if we won, that was plain ugly basketball tonight.

Great shape? We play at Buffalo, Akron and Miami. Home games with Kent State and Ohio. We could easily lose all five. If we play well...maybe 2-3?

We really needed to take care of business today against a weaker opponent if we had any realistic chance of getting a bye.

I'm glad I didn't go to the game now...yuk. I didn't really have a good excuse, I was just enjoying a lazy hangover Sunday and didn't think about the game until it was almost 7:00, but I didn't feel like heading out. Oh well, seems like a good decision. We must have played flat awful to lose to that EMU team.

That was probably the most boring and pathetic game I've seen in Anderson in my entire life. Wow was that terrible.

I said if we get it back together. We can beat those teams if we play well.

The last 2 or 3 minutes of the game BG finally decided to turn up the heat. Other than that...not much excitement going on.

Whoever #20 was on EMU pretty much ONLY shot for 3-pointers all night, and we let him get away with A LOT of them.
