WTF is up with them? I recorded 2.5 hours of absolute crap on FS-OH.
It was advertised as the BG-Kent game.

Man, sorry to hear that.

Dump cable and go Dish Network...or DirectTV if you wish.

I posted this in the other thread. Here is my best guess. Kent State and Akron have a contract with FSN Ohio to broadcast its last 6 games (4 mens and 2 womens) not sure if it is still 6 or maybe 5 now. All during the game it said Kent State Sports Network provided by FSN. I honestly believe this game was just broadcasted locally back in the Kent area or NE OHIO. I have DirecTV and it was on 3 channels. IT WAS NOT ON DISH NETWORK, only DirecTV. It was blacked out in Indy, Cincy, and CBus.
I strongly believe the Womens game Saturday will be blacked out as well as the Akron game on Sunday.
Dump TWC and get DIRECTV

So for those who have TWC I would not count on watching the game this Sunday @ Akron on FSN. Still have time to switch to DirecTV

Time Warner Cable is a piece of crap and I'm stuck with it because that's what the dorms have. It makes me want to cry

Sorry to rain on your parade, but the game WAS on Dish...only thing you have to watch with Dish is that Ch. 425(Foxsports) has TWO slots, one for HD, on for non HD....I didn't see it at first on HD, slid up one and had the game. Heck of a job by the Falcons, especially coming back after the KSU 11=0 run to take the lead.

Its not the cable provider, it's FOX SPORTS OHIO. The cable providers only provide the service. FOX SPORTS OHIO decides what they are going to put on. Cable providers have ZERO control over what is programmed by broadcasters and networks. If you have a beef, contact FOX SPORTS OHIO. They are the ones who made the decision to dump the game for a dull boxing show. Don't you think if Time Warner and Buckeye had a choice that the game would have been on? Cable companies like to see happy customers.
They?

I called TW and FS-OH...or tried to. The lineup shows FS-OH had it on the schedule. If the MAC office contracted it, why was it pulled and by who?
Yeah, I heard TW claim that "they" only show what FSOH sends, but nothing on the Fox website showed boxing. I am more concerned about Saturday's game.

I feel all your pain who got boxing instead of Falcon hoops, but check out my story.
After heading to my local sports bar of choice and getting past the confused look of "huh?" when I asked to put on the Kent State at Bowling Green game, we got the game via the satellite. But I don't know if it was cloudy or what, but the sat. feed kept freezing. Sometimes for 30 seconds other times for 2-3 minutes. Talk about a frustrating way to watch a game. It was worse than any MAC-SPORTS online feed I've ever had.
The kicker: the screen froze for about 2 minutes with 1.7 seconds on the clock, and Kent State inbounding the ball with an open player on the left wing (I think it was Scott Thomas who got beat). The ball was in frozen in the air until it unfroze with the players celebrating in the middle of the floor.

It is not out of the ordinary for the Fox Sports website to be incorrect because the "schedule subject to change" clause.

Apparently, that's where they get you on the on-screen guide, too. I apparently only get the Cincinnati branch of FSO in Indy. If they blacked it out altogether, or there was a Cincy-area game on, I'd take my lumps and be (somewhat) cool with it. But that they ran that crap filler programming they run all day and overnight instead of a LIVE basketball game still has me a touch more than irritated.
Anyone know of or find any contact information for FS Ohio?
It was FOX

According to Jim Lowder? at FS-OH it was because (I missed the rest since his lips were moving) Columbus Bluejackets were subject to a blackout and BG got lumped into the blackout restrictions. BUT, it won't happen again Saturday and Sunday.
Apologies to Time WARNER, this time.

Oh, FS-OH 440-746-8000

TWC is the pits. They just got rid of CBC so no more "Hockey Night in Canada". To add insult to injury, they replaced CBC with CNN Headline News which we already have. Now we have CNN Headline News twice. Very frustrating.
