I questioned, and stand by those questions middle of the season when BG was blowing second half leads and some internal strife reared its head.
However, I give the team and Coach Orr all the credit for working through it and capturing the number 1 seed in the MAC and the regular season title! It matters most how you play at the end of the year and while I believe winning the MAC is possible, its a great step securing at the least an NIT bid!
I don't care how bad the MAC is this year and I won't figure out the Canisius and EMU games, this was a stellar effort by the program. Congratulations and thanks for a strong season to date!
Congratulations Falcons and Coach Orr!

Right On! Congrats!
This was not an easy feat. We need to give them some real credit. It had to be a ball buster of a year for all involved with the team with some of the pre-season discipline issues, the non-conference melt downs, the DC issue at the Fordham game [reference internal strife above], and IMO being "challenged" talent-wise.
I was critical of our senior leadership earlier in the season and they and the rest of the team really gutted this season out and produced some wins. VERY impressive.

Every season has it's challenges and this team rose above the challenges. They won the games they needed when they needed and earned the MAC championship. Congrats to our Falcons!

What a great finish to an amazing run this regular season. Even way down 1000 miles away from BG here in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, I feel that today was a special day that we'll remember for quite some time. What a way for our seniors to go out. They suffered on some really bad teams under Dakich, so for them to WIN THE MAC their senior year is special stuff. Congratulations are in order to coach Louis Orr for doing a fantastic job with this program.

I am so proud and happy for the players and coaches, what a job they did turning this thing around so quickly. I kept saying to myself before the season we would add a banner next to that 02 NIT one, but I never thought it would be this way. What a season for Falcon basketball
