I read the first headline and clicked away.
Went back to see if you at least made up for it with coach of the year... and clicked away again.
I guess I could ask when you voted on these (was February 7 the deadline?), but I don't think you'll be back until it's time to plug another link.

I'm sorry you felt that way, TG. I thought Orr and Reggie should have shared the COY, but that was not an option.

Why not? The actual Mid American Conference did it for Curt Miller and Tricia Cullop. Just saying...

Exactly, Metz. What 'Spoon did was impressive, worst-to-first, but he's also the one that put his team in the basement. Orr has taken a team that spend six years spinning it's wheels and put it on top of the MAC (sweeping Ol' Reggie this year) in just two years.
Though I don't mind the COY pick as much as the POY. Whether or not it (the real one, especially) is given to Nate Miller, Tillman was simply the tallest midget in Athens. Impressive points and rebounds, but his team was 7-9.
Thanks for coming back and posting, though, jscott. You should do so more often!

I think it is just more fodder to fuel the fire that this is a cohesive team unit. No one star, as has been mentioned, just a solid group that does what needs to be done.
I kind of like the idea that these other teams have all the stars and top coaches and our workmanlike Falcons just grab their lunch buckets and go to work!

So far as COY goes, I don't make the rules, I only try to break them.
I don't take team record into account that much when voting for Player of the Year. Yeah, Ohio wasn't good, but Tillman was. Miller was as well, and I would have had no problem with his winning the award. The same goes for Rodney Pierce.
Michael Bramos, though, is a joke.

Coach of the year I would probably agree with, and I can see the argument for Jerome Tillman as POY, but B-MO got robbed for 6th man of the year

He started 21 of 30 games. I think his 6th Man days are behind him.
I guess the Tillman argument is a "POY vs. MVP" thing.

He plays better coming off the bench though, and he prefers it. In terms of a player coming off the bench, there is no one I would rather have in the MAC
