Here's some more artist renderings of what the Stroh Center is probably going to look like via bgsufalcons website. I've never seen them until today, so here ya go!
944 student seats
3362 patrons seats
464 club seats
= 4770 seats (1726 lower, 3044 upper)
Floor Plans
Graduation Ceremony
Concert!

I had seen they posted pics, but never more than a 200px thumbnail. Thanks for sharing the bigger versions. It's also interesting to see the arena from this angle, which I don't believe we have before.

Those are some great renderings, but one thing that is noticeably absent is a scoreboard. I'm not looking for a conspiracy here, but it does seem odd to me that they would include banners and no scoreboard.

I don't know if we are supposed to take that serious Matt. You really think they will build an arena without a scoreboard? Maybe it'll be removable since the events shown are not sporting events.

No, I didn't think they would at all. Just pointing out an oddity simply because I'm bored. And I don't think I've ever seen a removable scoreboard (to my knowledge), but I suppose that isn't out of the realm of possibilities.
No matter what, I just want to be able to walk into this beautiful new building, like tomorrow. They can't throw this thing up fast enough for me.

The AA scoreboard has caster wheels on the bottom...I'm guessing it's removable if somebody wanted to take the time to do so

Funny you mention the absence of a scoreboard. The College of Charleston opened a new arena here this season- a stunning downtown arena about the size of the Stroh Center. The arena project was started under one AD and finished under the current AD. They covered their bases on the overall construction but the new AD pointed out that the previous regime's construction costs didn't include things like furnishing the locker rooms or, you guessed it, a center hung scoreboard/video board. The arena opened without one and they are currently amidst a fund raising project to get one for Coach Cremmins and the Cougars.

And as to the Anderson Arena scoreboard, the Urban Legend I was told was that after Nick Miletti moved the Cavs to Richfield he gave BGSU the old Cleveland Arena scoreboard, but I've never confirmed this. . .

It does look like there's a big ol' video board on that far wall above the stage, though. I'll take it.

Judging by the blueprints and renderings above, it looks like for games that there will seating all the way around the court on the first level and seating on three of the four sides for the next level. It appears the level with only seating behind the basket on the lower level and not the upper level will likely be retractable seating as the images with graduation and the concert with the stages not have any seats visible in that area.
I love looking at the blueprints and reading things like team store, practice court, etc! I cannot wait until this place is built! It also sure would be nice to somehow arrange a marquee game against a big-named school to open the facility. You see that done often when schools open new buildings.

I'm almost certain that the current AA scoreboard actually came from the Richfield Coliseum back in the early 80's when the Cavs got a new one. Maybe one of the other old-timers can confirm this.

Everything I know says it was from the Cleveland Arena. It was pretty nice back in the day... I remember they'd put first half statistics in the message area at half time... then it got stuck on "buy a brick" or something like that and that message board never worked again. When that scoreboard is down on the floor for maintenance, it's HUGE!
