I think how well we do next season will likely depend on how well and how fast the transfers adapt to our system and if OP and Larson can make bigger strides in their games. We also must get something out of Dee Brown. It was rather disheartening to see him play so few minutes over the course of the season. Next year we go back to being young again in some key areas, but more talented and just as athletic if not more so.

In the report on BG, it refers to Goins and Graves as "junior college transfers". I wasn't aware that Xavier and San Jose State had become junior colleges.

Brown isn't fast or quick enough to play the point. He doesn't have the size, speed, or athleticism to play off guard. One could plainly see this early on. The only thing that he can really do is shoot. Honestly, I'm not sure that he belongs on a D1 roster. He looks like a recruiting error.

Be happy that USA Today gave significant space to breaking down the MAC --- a year early! Any trivial mistakes certainly should be forgiven.

Personally I think Dee will be fine. Is he going to be a star? No. But I think he can be a solid point guard for us. I think its kind of early to say he doesn't belong on D1 roster.

My 2 cents on Dee Brown. Too early to say "recruiting error". I think Orr went with players that he knew exactly what he had [DC and Moten]. This is a good coaching decision. On the flip side, he better work his AZZ off this summer and be ready to compete this coming fall.
