Enjoy this one, Falcon Fans!!! One of the all-time best teams right there... Pardon, Klassen, Matela and McLeod as seniors... should have danced that year. *sigh*

Brandon's move at 8:53 is still one of the most amazing plays I've ever seen in person. Good, good times.

I can't tell if Klassen's "coast to coast" at 6:15 is really in slow motion.

Watching that made me sad, it is a shame that team didn't get a shot in the NCAA's. Damn they had some talent.

That team was tremendously talented. That was my senior year and we had so much fun following them around for road games and getting loud in Anderson Arena for the home games.
I definitely think that team had enough talent to win some games in the big dance, and certainly had an argument for an at large bid. That said, they had 2 bad losses (at Toledo, and at Akron) that really hurt their chances of getting that bid. They had a lot of good wins throughout the year, but the fact that they couldn't salvage a single win in 3 tries against that great KSU team (no shame in that) along with those 2 bad losses really hurt them.
Even without a tourney berth it was the best BG team I remember seeing play, and definitely one of the most fun to watch. The guard play on that team was the best I've ever seen at BG. We haven't had a single player at any position of the caliber of McLeod since he graduated. We haven't had a PG that could even be considered a poor man's Pardon since, either.
God I loved that team.
Thanks for posting Grant!

THAT Dakich was a great coach.
Had he never left for WVU and retreated I think he could have had a stellar BG career. Unfortunately that move lost his lockerroom and that sentiment was passed from player to player for the rest of his tenure in BG.

The bad losses don't hurt so much as the bad wins. Our win over Michigan in football for example. Not a good win.
I remember the first time I saw Pardon I thought he was about the quickest guard I'd seen in the MAC-didn't have the career I thought he'd have but he was pretty good.
