Anyone else going to the open practice/scrimmage on Sunday? 11AM in Anderson.... here's the details if you haven't seen them:

Men's Basketball To Host "Falcons At Work"

With the 2009-10 season right around the corner, the BGSU Men’s Basketball team is hard at work in preparation to defend their MAC Championship. With no exhibition game on the schedule prior to their regular season home opener vs. Wayne State on November 14, Head Coach Louis Orr has invited all Falcon fans to attend “Falcons at Work” this Sunday, November 8 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Admission is FREE to the event, and the complete timeline is as follows:

11:00am-12:30pm…Practice Session
- Copies of the practice plan will be distributed to offer fans a “behind-the-scenes” look.
12:30-1:00pm…Scrimmage Session
1:00pm…Team Autograph Session

All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to pick-up their very own 2009-10 BGSU Men’s Basketball schedule poster. Schedule cards and ticket information will also be available.

Gotta take my daughter to three club volleyball tryouts on Sunday, so I'm gonna be busy with that instead.

Yep, and if you'd heard me sing you would know why the noise would disrupt the Falcon team and lead it to defeat. Rockets will wear earplugs that day. Local dogs will be in excrutiating pain.

Darrell "Much Traveled" McLane

Jason "The Dominant Offensive Force in the MAC" Crump

A'uston "The Apostrophe" Calhoun.

Ahhh, the tradition continues!

For those of you who couldn't make it... there's a lot of new faces on this squad... And they're exciting!!

HiLights from the newcomers for me were the play of Jordon Crawford and A'uston "The Apostrophe" Calhoun, and Danny McElroy.

Veterans looked solid, Otis has slimmed down even more, Scott Thomas looked good, Dee Brown was hitting shots, and Eric Marschall showed some strong post moves as he returns to begin his 13th season as a Falcon. ;-)

Not much else to be said from a practice session, but it was great to be in Anderson and hear the squeaking of shoes, the bouncing of balls, and the dripping of leaky things everywhere.

Speaking of Anderson, they finally changed the MAC logo under each foul line. Last season they looked like construction paper that had been slapped down with double-sided tape or something. This year, they're brown and orange and were painted to look like the rest of the markings on the floor. A small, but very nice improvement.
