Hope OP can stay out of foul trouble and be a force in this game.

Could be one of those deals where the extended sports channel range of directv wins over TW cable. For your sake hope its not the case.

X is shooting the lights out early on, but I like what I see from OP and Scott Thomas so far. Given that X has already knocked down five or six 3's, I'm fairly please with the score right now.

Definitely can't complain where we're at right now! Xavier has been lights out from 3 land and still only holding a slim lead. OP has been a force down low, and Thomas has looked good as well.
Jordan Crawford (ours) just showed off more of those quick, quick hands to get a take away and transition layup.
This is gonna be a fun team to watch grow this year.

This one got pretty ugly between the 8 and 4 minute TV timeouts and didn't get any better over the last 4 minutes. We settled for a bunch of jump shots over the last 6 minutes and didn't make any of them. Guarded (long jumpers) or unguarded (free throws) didn't matter. Nothing went down.
In general, I think the starters have been pretty good, but the bench guys have struggled. Hopefully we can come out and play a solid 20 minutes and get some momentum going toward the Iowa game.

At first it was because Xavier was shooting lights out from everywhere on the floor, but now we are just getting outplayed by a better team. And what's up with the free throws?!?!?! They're FREE

Sorry guys, I turned the game on when we were down by 8, and yeah that was the best I saw. I have this weird superstition that I just can't watch BG on tv if I want them to win. Fortunately the football team won vs UB, or I'd really be believing this.

Hmmmm....well, at least our uniforms looked good tonight. That game reminded me of the loss to West Virginia back in 1999 (100-54). Iowa is up next and the Hawkeyes are 0-2 after dropping a pair of home games to Texas-San Antonio & Duquesne. Hopefully we can bounce back and play a decent game on Friday. GO BG!!!

My guess is that we just played one of the 15 best teams in the country..... Well that is usually what happens to Xavier... no respect and then a top 10 team by the end of the year.... Never like to lose by almost 50 but it early and hopefully this will be wake up call for are guys...

Major caveat at the top here...we clearly played the best team in the A-10 and possibly one of the top 10 teams in the nation.
Looking at the box score, this game was a whole bucket of ugly for the Falcons...4 of 13 from the charity stripe??? First of all, how do you miss an uncontested shot? I mean, I made 9 of 10 in the Hoop Shoot Contest in 7th grade and can still knock down at least 80% of my free throws...you hate to "waste" practice time on Free Throws but maybe it's what needs to be done. Also, within that stat is the fact that we only drew 6 or 7 fouls on shots. We're clearly not driving the lane enough. We should be getting to the line at least 20 times a game.
Otis fouled out. Anyone know how much time was left in the game when this happened? We only got two of their guys into "foul trouble" with three on McClean and Taylor. I know there is a specific style of play that Coach Orr is trying to instill but slashes and cuts should be a part of that.
37% shooting will lose to 65% shooting every single night, not to mention that Xavier was freaking unconscious from beyond the arc.
Bounce back, men...you are WAY better than this! GO FALCONS!!! BEAT IOWA!!!!!

4 of 13 is pretty bad but EVERYBODY can shoot 80% when they stand at the line, get in a rythym and shoot shot after shot. Doing it with 5,000 people screaming at you and after running twenty wind sprints makes it a bit more challenging I would think (I never played in front of 5,000 people so I'm not sure).
