Ugly at the JAR

The 2nd half was as bad a half as I've seen since BG played at Akron 2 years ago. Nobody, and I mean nobody, could do anything. Otis forgot how to post up. Larson flubbed three interior passes that would have led to layups. Brown was not able to get shots. Jakubowski could not penetrate and make clean passes. Thomas is simply tooooo weak to play against athletes like Conyers and the McKnight brothers.

Akron got hot early in the second half and we couldn't run anything in the first half. The players looked beaten and tired when when Akron got up 54-41.

Akron brings much more athleticism, strength, and depth to the table than BG at every position. Akron's second rotation looks better than our starters. This game cleared up any delusions of us contending in the East this year.

The only bright spot was that McElroy, Crawford, and Erger played and looked decent. Crawford showed a lot of fight and played with a chip on his shoulder. Goins and Calhoun did not get off the bench.

Thanks- I didn't realize he redshirted last year. What is the deal, then? Attitude or found out his talent didn't translate at this level?

Yeah, the second half was a bad time. :x Akron roll over us. BG couldn't get anything to fall in the 2nd half and Akron was hitting shots. The Zips shot 61% in the 2nd half. It's a long season and this was one game and one of those nights but Akron is gonna be a very tough team to beat all year.

We a great time with Vdub26Falcon and his lady, Amanda. Good food and drink and a good time...except for the 2nd half. Ugh.

Buffalo comes in Thursday night...let's get to 1-1 in the MAC>

GO FALCONS!!

Calhoun doesn't even get mop up time. All of the freshmen played except Calhoun. Walk-on Karrafa entered the final minutes of the Akron game while Calhoun sat. Smells like more than a simple talent issue. Can't say why Goins doesn't get a whiff of the court, either.

I hate to see this. This is time wasted for both Calhoun and the program.

Hell yeah, Freak! Thanks again for the hospitality and the AWESOME coat!

Otis needs to take those shots STRONG to the rim and throw them down with two hands! This layup junk isn't working so well for him. Larson had some costly turnovers right when he entered the game. JoJak did his thing like he always does but sometimes he needs to slow the pace down a little bit, get himself under control, see the floor and make the right move. Crawford got an earful in the 2nd half too.
