Just finished listening to the BG game... They came from 64-61 and out scored Kent 13-3 or something like that in last 3 min. Wish we could've gone, but have a major remodeling going on at home that required us to get everything ready for tomorrow. Good weekend at the MAC center to say the least!

We always sem to play well in that building. I remember a few years back when Kent had one of their championship teams and we went in and blew them out.

That game makes it fun to watch Antonio Gates catch passes in this Chargers-Jets game. :-D

From the bland:

However, the recent trend stopped yesterday afternoon when BG outscored Kent State University 13-4 in the final two minutes to overcome a six-point deficit and escape with a 76-70 victory before a crowd of 3,658 at the MAC Center.

They must be using the "new" math...LOL

That was a lame article in the Blade. Worst yet they sent a reporter there to write that??? The sad truth is this league would love to have a strong Toledo Rocket program in basketball. Sad truth is it looks as though they are several, several year away from that.

What an odd way to figure out a run...

Not only could they have said "...13-4 over the last 1:37" to make it seem even more dramatic (after clarifying that it wasn't a six-point game when that run started). Or back up a little more than a minute from "final two minutes" and note that it was an 18-6 run in the last 3 1/2...

Either way, it was a heck of a way to finish a game in a tough place to get a win.

Awesome to get that first MAC victory. Sometimes, all it takes is a quality road win to spark a team to their full potential. How many turnovers did Larson have?

I heard on the local sportscasters say that this was the first time in like 18 years that BG had started 0-2 in MAC play. I thought that could not possibly be true, but looking at the stats I could find, we never lost the first two as far back as the 2000-2001 season, so maybe.

Well, the good news is we can be 2-2 with a win over Ohio tomorrow night. BG leads the all time series, 69-57, and won all 3 meetings last year. Would be nice to have a good crowd on hand after a BiG road win at Kent State. Coach Orr is 4-1 vs OU...

GO HOOPS!
