Gotta contain Ohio's backcourt tonight

Ohio seems to go as its backcourt goes, which is being led by former Indiana transfer Armon Bassett & MAC Freshman of the Year candidate DJ Cooper. These two are not shy from launching it deep from three, even when being closely defended. I watched the Ohio/Miami game on Saturday and came away very impressed with these two in particular. Ohio really liked to push the ball and get out and run. Hopefully we can come away with a win tonight.

BG wins 65-57, now 2-2 in conference. OU is 0-4. Hold on while I go look for some sympathy for them.
Dee Brown had an off night (as did Thomas from the field, looking at the box), but Jakubowski stepped up and Erik Marschall had a great game.
Two straight wins in conference and had the ball and a chance to be 3-1 after a sloppy UB game. I don't think there's any counting out what this team might come up with. Even for a throwaway year.

Nice win Falcons. Keep on plugging away....
By the way... Bassett and Cooper were a combined 6 of 22 from the floor [1 of 10 from three point line]. Good job Defense.

Louis Orr = teh awesome. The guy just finds a way to get his team to play hard every time out. We're not the best team in terms of talent, but he always seems to find a way to get the most out of his guys. I can't begin to imagine how good we'd be if we had a #1 scoring option on the floor.
We may not be the best team in the MAC this season, but we're going to be in this to the very end. There's no dominant team out there to run away with it. If we bank some wins against the West, who knows.

I certainly agree about Orr. He's certainly making the most of what talent we do have. If we do end up contending for the Mac title down the stretch it will be cuz of Coach Orr's fantastic coaching.

Excellent job of getting this team to play above its potential. Who would have thought at this time last year Dee Brown would as valuable as he is to our team. Incredible.

I think you underestimate Akron...Yes, they had a bad showing up in Buffalo but you can't deny the talent and Senior leadership they have on that team. I would not be even a little bit surprised if they win the MAC Tournament again this year.

Good win over Ohio...it's a MAC game and home to boot. 11-0 run to take the win...nice way to step up and say "We win". Congrats Coach Orr and team! We lost our top 3 scorers from last year and we're 9-7, 2-2 MAC.
BG has played one bad half of basketball in the MAC...the 2nd half at Akron.
