I can't post the link as I am sending this from my phone but Dustin wrote a letter to the Sentinel Tribune complaining about the fans not showing respect by standing up. We all know his stance on this issue but this isn't the way to get people more interested. Posting a letter in the paper will only make people irritated and not want to show up. People can sit down and clap and show their support just as well as standing.

I think the member's or our women's team would be more offended by the use of the term "girl's team" than they would be by people sitting instead of standing. Calling women's teams "girls" teams has been considered to be quite the insult by female athletes. In fact using gender to identify the team at all, as in "Lady Falcons" is considered passe if not downright insulting.

Souldn't this guy be studying more?

I guess he's not too thrilled about are fan support.

Say what you will, maybe I'm just a spoilsport, but I'm not sure I like the direction this thread is going.

The whole "standing v. not standing" thing is as annoying to me as it is to anyone else, but I don't really think it's fair for the entire board to gang up on Dustin.

The "MOST FOOLISH FAN" at AA hands down, standing up. Someone should duct tape his arms to the side of his body and his butt to the bench he's standing next to. He does nothing for our school's image or to motivate others to participate as fans - unless you're from the opposing school looking for someone to taunt.

I've seen his "act" from both sides of the arena and it really annoys me. I will stand when he sits and sit when he stands.

May they build a holding cell without a bench in his honor deep in the bowels of the Stroh.

When I first joined this board I was annoyed for how much crap DustinXtreme got, but I completely understand why. He complains about people not standing or cheering which I also understand... But he needs to realize he is probably the main reason people don't want to stand on the sideline and chant throughout the game. He is an embarrassment to the whole falcon fan base. Constantly doing his "suck it" gesture (which is probably the most childish thing to do even maybe 10+ years ago, yet for some reason he thinks its cool). Constantly yelling into and annoying the ears of referees, and all of the previously mentioned things he does. He and his small crew are the reason people don't want to join in and stand, for the sake of embarrassing themselves.

DustinXtreme... nobody wants to join you, not because we aren't falcon fans, because we are falcon fans. You poorly represent what you are actually seeking to be a part of at games. Half the time you are standing you are quiet, with your arms crossed. You diss on the fans that are at the games. I'm guessing that you aren't a student at BGSU, which is fine, neither am I.. but I'm also guessing you keep the students of BG from being a part of a true standing student section. Maybe if you grew up and stopped acting like a child, people would take you seriously and want to be a part of what you keep on crying about. Until you move to a different part of the arena, sit down, and shut up... things will stay the way they are. That's just the way it is.
