The Rockets are expected to announce Tod Kowalczyk (UWGB's coach) as Gene Cross' replacement this afternoon. He's got a good track record in a similar basketball conference.

Interesting step down conference-wise, but he must think there's significantly more upside in Toledo than Green Bay.

Or he feared he could not take the program any further and the fan base would run him out without continuous improvement. Sticking in one position too long can kill a career.

Color me unimpressed. 8 years and the biggest thing he was able to accomplish was an appearance in the CBI tournament?

They went looking for the male version of Tricia Cullop and landed someone closer to the male version of Dee Knoblauch.

Oh snap! Sure, Dee K. was one of ours before that surreal dissent into madness her coaching run became. But that was maybe a HOF snipe at UT.
