Stroh cam down?
Anyone else having trouble with the Stroh cam? Keep getting messages that can't be loaded or something to that effect...

This one just worked for me.
The 'oxblue' one worked too.

Wart,
Thanks! It worked for me off your site, but I don't have the "zoom" effects etc. that I was getting on the BGSU Falcons.com site....will look again later. But again, thanks as I hadn't seen ALL the Orange sections the other day, only about half of them.

I will be getting a walk-through of the project next week (Wednesday 6/23) and will have my video camera with me.BourbonFalcon wrote:anyone know if there are plans to have an indoor Stroh construction cam to track the progress of the floor, seating, ect?
I'll be sure to ask if the floor completion will be broadcast or not.
And also, remember www.strohcenter.com is the best link for the camera... it'll be updated to a new website once the camera is done.

Re: Stroh cam down?
Will the floor be a permanent/fixed floor (like in Anderson Arena) or will it be sections like in multipurpose arenas like The Q?

I see no reason why it wouldn't be a fixed floor.Dayons_Den wrote:Will the floor be a permanent/fixed floor (like in Anderson Arena) or will it be sections like in multipurpose arenas like The Q?

I would think it would be a removable floor for the sake of graduations, concerts, etc. Less wear and tear in my opinion.BGDrew wrote:I see no reason why it wouldn't be a fixed floor.Dayons_Den wrote:Will the floor be a permanent/fixed floor (like in Anderson Arena) or will it be sections like in multipurpose arenas like The Q?

Re: Stroh cam down?
As long as it has a "super HARD" surface, does it make a difference?

Unless you're doing some serious destruction to the floor for an event they usually just throw down heavy carpeting or tarps.drumstix2388 wrote:I would think it would be a removable floor for the sake of graduations, concerts, etc.

Oh okay that makes sense...is it much of a difference in cost to have one over the other?BGDrew wrote:Unless you're doing some serious destruction to the floor for an event they usually just throw down heavy carpeting or tarps.drumstix2388 wrote:I would think it would be a removable floor for the sake of graduations, concerts, etc.

I assume the only difference would be in labor costs after the fact. Putting down tarps or carpets is a lot easier than disassembling the floor and moving it to wherever they would move it to. Yes, I just ended that sentence with a preposition.

Re: Stroh cam down?
Bingo. It's WAY more expensive to have an "assembly required" floor due to the man hours that are required to install and tear-down. I recommend the "Sports Jobs" where they switched from the hockey arena to basketball floor. With about 2-3 dozen guys it took 3 hours.VDub26Falcon wrote:I assume the only difference would be in labor costs after the fact. PS: It is perfectly acceptable to end sentences in prepositions in the English language. This myth comes from Latin.
