Falcons are out rolling early 11-3. Good shooting -- only 1 miss on a layup that was followed up with an Almanson dunk. Keep it up!

I just saw it was 31-29 BG at the half when I got to work. Is there a place to follow it online?

Up 12 with 12 minutes to go in Detroit. Reimold with 25 points and everyone else chipping in. I don't think Detroit is as good this year as they have been in the past several years, but this would be a huge win for a team that has not won many road games in the past couple years. Soler is getting alot of minutes and playing pretty well today.

up 13 with 7 and a half left, according to ESPN.com. Keep it up BG!!! Will likely have to weather a run here in the next couple minutes, if they can do that, it would be another solid win, scoreboard-wise.

59-53 final.

No doubt, this isn't your usual UD team. Still, you win on the road, where UD is as strong as we are on our floor, or stronger. We've played well so far. At 3-1, we could easily have been 1-3.

Reimold -28- and Almanson (10) are providing some senior leadership.

Huge game for Reimold. When he strokes like that, we aren't going to lose too often.

WHEW!!!

Nice win! On the road after a week's layoff, this one's a good one for the program this year. (And thankfully they didn't look ahead to Bluffton!!! )

Playing on the road after a week layoff was going to be a test. Great to see the team stepped up to the challnge and brought home a victory. Hope my back is better by Wednesday cause I would sure like to get out and see this team in person. :?

From the AP:

AP-OH--Bowling Green-Detroit Mercy

Bowling Green 59, Detroit Mercy 53

DETROIT (AP) - John Reimold scored 28 points, including six
three-pointers, to lead Bowling Green past Detroit Mercy 59-to-53
today.
Josh Almanson added ten points for the Falcons, who won their
first road game of the season. Bowling Green improved to
three-and-one.
James Thues scored 14 points, and Ryvon Coville added 13 and
nine rebounds for the Titans, who fell to one-and-four.
Reimold opened the second half with a three-pointer from the top
of the circle and then hit another pair of threes three minutes
later to push Bowling Green's lead into double digits. He also hit
five of six field goals in the opening half, including two
three-pointers.

It stated in The Blade today that Detroit had won 38 of their last 40 nonconference home games so this was definitely a good road win for the Falcons.

geez I'll be the first to admit I semi-wrote off this team after the off season draaaama, but after the first few games it looks like the chemistry may be better this year. good win today and keep it up falcons.
