Just a reminder that these teams are for the Anderson Arena era only. There were certainly a lot of folks who would be deserving going back through time if they had played in Anderson Arena. Jim Darrow's final season at BGSU was 1959-60; the first year of Anderson Arena was 1960-61.

I thought he played at least one year in Anderson........oops! Matter of fact, I even thought I saw him play there.

I know I saw him play in Mem's Gym against Marshall also against WMU.

Cool thanks...I figured it had to be something like that!

Saw ten of them play at Anderson and/or Centennial/Savage. Missed Thurmond and Komives, possibly the two best, and Dwors of whom I have never heard..

I saw Howard Komives in Anderson arena, but he wasn't playing

I saw Piatkowski play on TV as I used to watch the BG-UT game on WTOL (Yay Wally's Foodtown) back when Ray Woolford played for UT.
Since I didn't get to main campus until Fall of '70 I missed seeing all the others play prior to that season. After that, I didn't miss many. Of the Cash/Howard/Cartwright group and Haley's house of horrors, didn't Skip play well?

He was highly recruited. In fact I think BG had a "top ten" class that year which, coupled with 30 cents got you a cup of coffee back then. Howard never was as good as his press. He had some decent years but at his size was expected to be more of an inside force. Always seemed to play pretty soft to me. Couldn't see him cracking this list.

I've got no problems with the players listed here, but I'd have to give a shout-out for Jeff Montgomery, the Falcon point-guard (although I don't think we used the term back then) from the 1972-73 season through 1974-75. As important as Cash was on that team, I had to think Monk was its heart and soul. I can still remember the sinking feeling I had when he went down in overtime against Central Michigan at Anderson Arena in the final game of the 74-75 season (still one of the greatest basketball games I have ever seen).
And Monk would probably understand my choice of emoticon.

Since we hung out at the same place, I think EVERYONE knew why he went down
Oh, just cramps......
