Belated, but very deserving!

Post by OptionQB »

Being one of the more vocal members of our little community here over the summer about the shortcomings of this edition of Falcon basketball, I just wanted to say congratulations to Coach Dakich, staff and players for the fantastic start. I'm looking forward on getting out to Anderson soon. Hopefully I can find a sucker for a Wed. night shift.

I think you speak for a lot of people, whether they were vocal or not. I had some doubts but tried to bite my lip until things got rolling.

Let's see where this team can take us!

I didn't bite my lip, but this team is playing great so far. Making a believer out of me. PG is better than I expected. And Wright is a much better 2 than I ever expected.

Wright played the 2 position in high school and was not a true point so that is why he is playing much better there. He always was that good. I also was biting my lips during the summer but i have to give congrats to the Coach he has done a great job.

Paint me in the crowd that wasn't sure we'd win 10 games this year. So far it looks like we're easily on our way towards that one.

Deep down I had a feeling that Dan didn't forget to coach. It may turn out to be that all the players leaving/quitting or whatever was the best thing that could ever happen to this program. I think Dan is starting to gain a real good feel for the type of players that he needs to fit into his system in order to put a winner on the court.

I agree Option. Coach D has everybody on the same page. With the senior leadership, by example, and hard work, this group will end up suprising some people (picked 5th in division). I think that while players are playing in a more natural position (Wright at the 2, Josh at the 4 ie...), confidence can only swell. It's going to be a fun winter being at AA watching these guys.
Nice start Falcon Hoopsters!!!! :D :D :D

I think you're absolutely right, hammb. In my opinion, we have a team that works together well and that can be attributed to effective recruiting.
