Won 4 of the last 5. Been in every game since Western Kentucky second half.

And we won without Thomas scoring a point and only taking 1 shot. Oglesby is really growing on me. I think he might crack the starting lineup pretty soon.

Hope Majerus is OK. Tough with such a young team to lose your coach for a half. That guy can't afford anymore health problems.

Was there more on that? I figured he'd be back out, even if it was on crutches. Was it more serious than a nasty knee injury?
And good work Falcons!

A great way to start the new year off and to wrap up our non-conference schedule (minus the Bracket Buster game). Calhoun was money during a crucial stretch for us! I really hope we can carry the way we ended the non-conference schedule over into the MAC now. GO BG!!!

Majerus reportedly sliced his leg open and blood thinning meds helped it bleed a lot. He expects to be back Monday, according to an ESPN story.

Enough with the political comments about the cost structures of the U.S. heath care system. He was initially stuck in the "doughnut hole" until he ate his way out with a glass of milk.

I like the starting lineup the way it is with Thomas and McElroy at the wings. IMO they understand both defensive intensity and assignments better than Calhoun and Oglesby. If anything, you may see Calhoun displace McElroy in the starting lineup as he plays more consistent on defense.
I love a guy like Oglesby coming off the bench, a high energy player who plays a little out of control [in a good way] and who throws his body around fearlessly. His high flying dunk and his bruising blocked shot on the dunk attempt during the UTSA game were AMAZING!!
We are a deep team. What a great problem to have. Look out MAC!!

Have not seen much of Oglesby so I will bow to your take. It just seems like, as you mentioned, he makes plays every time he is in there. Extrapolate that over a game and you have good things.

Yeah, I'm surprised Grant didn't jump on me for the political stuff- guess he isn't looking for that over in the hoops forum.

I was only joking of course. Now enough with the vaguely homoerotic figurative references...

Its nice to see the guys playing well, but I'm not sure about the quality of teams we've beaten. St. Louis was decent, but you could see they were rattled after Majerus left. I still think we are bottom of the pack in the East. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think our schedule is fooling some people. We are no where close to being MAC contenders.

Actually I was referring to our old hoops days- only way Grant could stop me from scoring....
