For those of you that dont know, there is a student section naming contest going on for current students. Each student can have one suggestion, and the winner gets on-court recognition at the home opener next year. The reason Im posting this is to see if anyone has any good ideas, as I do not. And I dont want to waste my vote on something uncreative, like "the nest". So.....any thoughts?

It's been done and I don't think we need it IMHO.

I don't think it is a bad idea. If it creates even a little bit of interest it is worth it.

When we were at the games on Sat. my wife noticed a bulletin posted in the ticket window re: Lou's Crew or something like that... guessing this would be fine as long as Louis Orr is HC...but would need a change when/if a new coach were to take over... (doesn't MSU have something related to IZZO?)

Is the nest jsut too obvious?

I've had this idea for almost a year now. What do you guys think?

My idea is that a solid core group (3-10 people) can dress up in full Storm Trooper costumes and be the "leaders" of the student designated section. And maybe eventually lots of students will dress up in full costume, or just wear masks, or even dress up as other Star Wars characters. Or even just t-shirts. I'm no Star Wars fanatic or anything, but I think it'd be pretty cool.

You can get the costumes on ebay.

The band could also play Imperial March.

I'm not a student, so someone can use this idea and run with it. Get a group of friends and recruit incoming freshman... make t-shirts to throw out to students at games, make a facebook page and post game schedules... etc. etc. etc....

FRACK-SIDE Court Crew (or Pit Crew if it sounds better)

In honor of our great Falcon Fan and his court - Bill Frack. I can see the pit crew jump suits working nicely as warm-ups for the dance team or a group of students that accelerate the crowd to full throttle. Helmets not necessary unlike TSUN - insert own joke.

BGSU will win the MAC when the Frack Pack attacks. Sorry had to throw that in there .

I got $20 that says Dustinxtreme wouldn't stand for his Toledo-worshipping, English teacher mortifying ways.

Especially because birdman probably doesn't stand up during games.
