What we add next year per ESPN
Clarke 6-0 175
Strengths:
Jehvon is a quick and athletic point guard. He is very skilled and can create on almost anyone. He is almost too skilled, sometimes looking like an "And 1" mix tape. His talent is obvious. Offensively he has a nice package. He has a good floater and can get in the lane whenever he wants. He is a streaky long range shooter with range to 20 feet. He is a solid defender. He has solid size and good athletic ability so he can potentiallly be a very good defender. Clarke's size and strength also allow him to be a solid rebounder for a point guard.
Weaknesses:
He is effective but sometimes needs to get by with a simple play instead of the fancy one that can sometimes become a turnover. His struggles are due to the fact that he settles for bad shots instead of using his versatility to take what the defense gives him. He also needs to make sure his effort is consistent on defense.
Bottom Line:
Jehvon is a skilled combo guard. He is a scorer first that is improving as a point guard. He has always been a good and creative passer, where he is improving is as a decision maker. Jehvon is a good prospect and with additional improvement will be a nice point guard in college.
Rorie 6-9
Strengths:
Desmond is a long and thin post player. He has a tremendous upside and a lot of yet unreallized potential. He is a good shotblocker right now. He is effective off the ball and taking away shots in the paint.
Weaknesses:
He is raw offensively but does display a nice touch. He needs to be much more aggressive and assertive offensively and as a rebounder. He needs to get stronger.
Bottom Line:
Rorie is a definite project but he has some talent and some tools. With his length and athletic ability, though, he has a chance to be a contributor at Bowling Green down the road.
