Chauncey Orr=Blade first team all whatever area

Post by Flipper »

The story says he's "weighing his options", but will likely be a Falcon (at BGSU, not Air Force)....
Not sure of the geogrphy of the team...it lists a Michigan kid or two and also covers the suburbs. All "places you can buy the Blade" team?

I would love to see him play for his dad at BG. And if he can hit the three at the college level, he won't find a school in the country in more of a need of that role being filled than right in his own backyard.

That's not his game. He's more of a creator and mid-range guy.

You made it look like I wrote that bit about hitting three's when 33 did. I feel violated...

Chauncey Orr was named First Team All-Ohio:

http://www.sent-trib.com/high-school-sp ... first-team

I think it is going to be very interesting to see where he ends up going to college. The article states he is contemplating several schools including BG. After watching two regional high-profile recruits such as Trey Zeigler at CMU and Ray McCallum at Detroit (who both could have played at many other schools) decide to play for their fathers at their respective schools last year, I am curious to see what happens here.

Also of note in that article is that Jehvon Clarke (who is definitely coming here) was named 2nd team.

Am I reading to much into this in thinking that Orr has not committed to BG yet because his father may be uncertain about being the coach here for 4 more years?

I think you are reading too much into it.

Personally, I think it might be best if he went somewhere else.
