Very nice little get together at the Stroh Center this afternoon. The place is looking amazing, the statue and the spirit plaza have their finishing touches now... it's just really a beautiful facility.

I talked to all three head coaches who will be housed there, and they're obviously very excited! They move in on July 1.

Here are a few of my photos from the event.

I cannot believe how amazing that polished concrete inside the Stroh looks! Also, the finishing touches on the statue are awesome.

Nice job to everyone involved in making this project a reality...especially Mr. Stroh!

Only 2 more months until the concert...

Grant, nicely done. I must admit, the Falcon turned out better than even I hoped (and thats saying something). I have been torn on how to allocate my eventual estate plan to the University. My general thought was to start an endowment for our mascots and Cheerleaders who do not receive any tuition support (and they are a tremendous front porch representing the school). But setting aside a renewable fund for signage like this is also a passion. Perhaps a split between the two. So much need, so little money!

I stopped by after loading up on pizza bread and garlic bread at Myles. The statue and plaza look awesome. I will try and upload some photos this afternoon if I have time.

The only gripe I had with the event/plaza was that there was a batch of bricks that hadn't been delivered... and of course, among those, was the brick I bought in memory of my dad. I got the duplicate brick yesterday at home, so I'll bet they've shipped it to the Stroh as well. As long as it's in there by opening day, I'll be happy.

There is a fund for Freddie and Frieda that gives them a small book stipend, but the birds would certainly love to see that fund grow large enough to fund multiple books! Thanks for thinking of them

No amount is too small. Donate what you feel you can afford.

And your donation is greatly appreciated, no matter the amount.
