You would think this hire would be a plus for BG to have someone with ties to the program. McKinley has two kids that would be solid DI players to recruit: Rorie's brother 6' 6" [class of 2012] and a 6'8" post player [class of 2013]

McKinley's last head coach (before Malone) was BG alumnus Dave Hoover. He was Keith's high school coach.

Congratulations to Coach Noftz for taking over one of the marquee HS jobs in Ohio.

McKinley's name alone attracts a ton of talent and like most preimment programs in the state, they have been accussed, but never to my knowledge been found guilty of, "supplementing" what pieces weren't already in the program. Obviously not a stretch if Dru Joyce and the coach from Africentric were on the short list.

Jacojdm is aboslutely correct though about BG alum Dave Hoover being the coach previous to the new incoming AD. His teams were a lot of fun to watch and always filled with big time guys like Raymar Morgan of Sparty fame.

I saw that in the Akron Beacon Journal...nice gig there at McKinley. I don't remember really hearing about shady happenings at McK.
