Although the attendance was better today, today's Ohio vs Miami game drew over 13k today!!! 13,000 for a MAC game. They drew more in one game than we have drawn in 8 of our games combined!!!!!

Interest in coming weeks will decline with the Men's program from here on out. Hopefully we can get crowds of at least over 1000. How sad.

Probably based on the fact that we're not very good. If we don't start playing better basketball I certainly can't see us increasing our fan interest in the coming weeks.

Ah. Well, I guess we'll see. My predictions are notoriously bad.

Did anyone see the Archives section in the Toledo Blade a few days ago? BG vs. Toledo basketball game was mentioned. BG won in Anderson; it was 1982; over 5000 screaming fans; John Weinert carried from the floor by jubilant players, etc. What a a different time it was then.
It is good to see Miami and Ohio still have their rivalry in tact.

Well the women are outdrawing the men's team and deservedly so. Even after graduating 80% of your starters the women consistently put a winning product on the court. I remember the days of 4500 screaming fans. Unfortunately I think the next time we see BG men draw over 2500 will be next year when we host Tom Izzo and Michigan State.

OU has historically backed that program and their fan base is solid. You have to hand it to them...
