I know it's just NIU....but 41-16 at the half is impressive.

Doesn't matter who it is.

It's a conference game - A MUST WIN GAME.

It's a home game - A MUST WIN GAME.

A win is a win. Now let's follow it up on the road against a struggling Ball State team.

Fwiw, Erger scoreless streak continues. 0-4 from the field, 2 terrible bricks from the foul line. Hasn't scored in 4 weeks. Would love to see someone else more productive at the spot off the bench.

Very nice effort. T.O. ROCKIN' the rim tonight. Dude can flat out fly! Thomas bounced back. Crawford was sold. Nice to seem them take care of business in a game the should win. Fun!

Oh yeah...

Caught the game on STO. Reghi (spelling, sorry Mike) and Mix (that's not right either) LOVE Crawford. Love the man. I like him too, but to them he is the top point in the league. Couldn't stop talking about him. That and OU - strange for BG and NIU, but I learned more about OU tonight than anyting else.

Anyway...

See Flipper, it's not just me, it's our football coach, it's the STO guys, everyone is talking about Ohio. And what's not to love?! ;) But I guess when you are 19-4 like they are, it's expected. IMO, OU is and has been the best football/basketball school in the MAC for the past couple seasons. There's lots to like about both programs. There might be a better program from another school in one sport, but not combined (football/basketball).

But back to BG....always nice to get a win in the conference no matter who it is we play. Great first half, pretty boring second half, but an easy win. Yes, NIU is bad, but we crushed them and we don't often do that against anyone (but have the last two games). We REALLY need to keep this up now at Ball State. A win in Muncie could really give us the booast we need. We just won back-to-back games for just the second time all season and are shooting for our first three-game winning steak of the year. Ball State has lost four consecutive games and we can't let them get up off the floor. We're almost done with our MAC West swing and we all know how tough the second half of the MAC East swing is going to be - as the MAC East is now like 21-3 vs the MAC West! Incredible. So let's go BG, let's make it three in a row! Beat Ball State!!!

Just got done watching the game...DVRed it cause I took the Freaklings to see Zoso, the Zeppelin tribute band, at the Akron Civic Theater. Sure NIU is very young and not very good but BG rocked the whole game. Did what they should have done. Ball State is reeling right now...lets add to their misery.

I caught the game on my iphone because we don't get STO on TWC in Troy. Even though I don't get the channel here which really bums me out, I am glad to hear STO is picking up MAC games.

Crawford draws a lot of attention because he's usually the smallest guy on the floor by size, but the biggest in terms of explosiveness. He's very fun to watch. The alley-oop passes he made last night really electrified the team and kept them going in a game that was had right out of the gate.

These past two games have been very enjoyable. Like others have said, it'd be nice to see the momentum continue at Ball State. The east is tough, and BG might not be the best overall. However, BG can be and beat the best in the MAC on any given night. I just hope they can string it together in the tournament.

For future reference: I need to be notified of all Led Zeppelin happenings in northeast Ohio. Sweet. Did they do Ten Years Gone?

I dislike that STO and FSO (Fox Sports Ohio) regularly show games involving non-Ohio schools during time slots when I know an Ohio team is playing. Doesn't that fly in the face of the name of the channel?

I muted it when they started talking OU. I hate everything about that school.

Or worse yet, an NHL franchise will be playing in the US.

They also said that BG could play with anyone in the league at the 3, 4 and the 5, but guard play is where they are weak. They mentioned Kent State and Akron as having superior guard play and depth at those positions. Crawford has great highs and great lows...that's the problem. Need conmsistency above all from point guard. We don't have it.

First time at the new arena and I thought it was great. Really has a cool entrance and you feel like you are in something brand new and nice. I echo my dads sentiments that part of it looks bare and they need to jazz it up a little bit in places but I loved the place for what it is. Walking thru the small hall of fame and hearing my dad tell stories of his basketball and track days was really cool as well. Love the giant falcon. Very cool looking. The student section was awful...the administration needs to do something to build school spirit. The student section was packed the entire time I was there, not sure how that died down but they need it back. Get out to the greeks, dorms and student organizations and pull them in somehow. The students that were there were fun and loud but there were just too few. That will be a nice positive when it grows.

As far as the game goes I liked that coach played Henderson with 4 of our starters putting him in a position for more success. I am not sure that he has it mentally to play a ton but we will find out. All in all it was a fun game to go to, I went home with 3 boxes of stuffed bread sticks which made it even better.

Crawford was very good.

I wonder what you guys think of Henderson-Clarke and Orr. They all got extensive time last night but I really did not see much that impressed me about any of them.

Also seeing Rorie was cool. I know that he is raw but he might be the guy we want coming off the bus first. He seems even bigger then Black.

A more aggressive Black and Sealy will really help this team.
