felt the need to check my ticket three times before the game had started and not only that but with about 16 minutes to go in the game i had to use the restroom and came back ready to back to my seat and i was told that i "had to wait until there was a break in play" i thought i misheard him so i asked what he said and he then repeated the previous line and i was stunned and i then said i've never had to that before! and lo and behold a foul was called and then and only then i could return to my seat and said that was stupid! apparently he thought my ticket had changed twice in a matter of minutes! so here is what i think of the tin soldiers and i ain't really looking to start anything on here i just felt the need to vent!

I always just wait at the scorer's table until the officials wave me to my seat.

Waiting for a break in the action, i.e., a foul, or timeout, etc is common courtesy and I am glad they are implementing that. Most sporting events have the same policies. However constantly asking for your ticket, I can see your point there. How hard is it to forget a Dustin.

You should always wait for a break in play to get up from or go back to your seat...it's simple act of courtesy towards those around you who are trying to...you know..watch the game they bought tickets for. So far as security checking your tickets repeatedly...aren't you the guy that was singled out by people around for bad behavoir? It might be the security guys way of letting you that they're watching you.

there is just one small problem with that issue of "bad behavior" i didn't do ANYTHING WRONG! i didn't at Anderson Arena and nothing wrong at The Stroh either! anyways i got the singled out issue taken care of!

I LOVE sporting venues that make people wait for a stoppage in play before they can go back to their seat. It is ABSOLUTELY the way the policy should be written, as far as I'm concerned.

+1. Especially for a dangerous sport like hockey or baseball where getting pegged in the head when not looking can kill you.

Almost every pro sports game I've been to in recent memory has made me wait until stoppage of play, even in huge arenas like the United Center. Just common courtesy to all of the other fans there to watch the game. I even try to wait until a stoppage to leave just so I'm not standing up in front of anyway because I always feel bad.

You could get a seat in the back row, and then you wouldn't have to wait!

Like Dustin cares about the other fans...

There are 4 commercial intermissions per half in college hoops plus team timeouts and all the other breaks in the action. With the layout of the Stroh for most seats you can wait at the top of the aisle and view the game perfectly. It's those people that take a minute of two to get themselves in their seats that cause this type of policy.

Yeah, this hits on a raw nerve for me to. At baseball games, people will sit through an entire break between innings and then get up to leave when play resumes. Not much they can do about that, but at Comerica, they do hold people until there is a break. To me, it just seems like common sense...get up when there is a break--there are plenty of them.

that is my only gripe with Victory Field in Indianapolis. I have missed many home run swings over the years due to people leaving during the middle of the pitch. When I have waited for a break in action, I have been told by ushers to sit down.

Not sure what is worse, people getting up during live action or adults who do the wave.
