MAC West

There are 343 D1 teams. Northern Ill finished with a ranking of 334, better than all of 8 D1 teams.

So, 75% of all D1 basketball teams are as good or better than the average MAC West team.
34% of all D1 basketball teams are as good or better than the average MAC East team.

What's more, Miami had its worst year in perhaps decades and is normally among the MAC's leaders in RPI.

BG finished with an RPI of 159, which slightly above average. OU finished with an RPI of 49 - that plus its win over Louisville might have resulted in an at-large bid if they had not won the MAC Tournament.

Errata:

OU actually lost to Louisville. However, they only lost by 5 and the game was at Louisville. The committee would have viewed it favorably, IMHO.

Annndddd.......Jordan Crawford led the MAC in TO/G with 3.5. There are about 2 other guys at 3.2, including freshman Brown at Toledo. Crawford is out there all by himself.

Did the site say which of numbers 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 340, 341,342 and 343 WAS better than NIU?
