There is a chance it can be changed in July. Their coach thinks it's a sure thing.

How many times must the NCAA punish UT? They had 10 scholarship players and they fired the coach. TK has brought the APR numbers back in line, so it seems a shame he gets the double whammy from the Cross crime.
I hope the NCAA agrees in July.

I heard today it wasn't exactly the grades, it was the lack of graduation
Ohio has a similar problem.

One guy..BFD...don't most frats keep a nerd or two around to boost the collective GPA? Do they even have frats any more? I think they had them when I was a student...but I'm not really affiliative....like Groucho Marx....

They didn't teach you the definition of "only" when you went to BG?

But I could trot out Stephen Albrecht who is in pre-dentistry at Brown after leaving the Cross shipwreck or any of the guys who were All-Academic All MAC (UT had more than any other school until fairly recently and may still-haven't checked in a while). It may be that all of them were stupid-Maybe all MAC basketball players are stupid. I'm merely positing that they are smarter than Mark.
And can you really qualify as a nerd if you were a three sport star in HS, All-State in football and track and go on to play the third sport at the D1 level in college? Not exactly Sheldon Cooper.

Interesting item in the Bade today- Cross says GPA was around 1.0 when he got there-2.9 when he left. I question the accuracy of the numbers but it could be things were very bad when he arrived. I do recall Jonathan Amos being All-Academic or at least HM, IIRC and Albrecht was pretty bright. I think the turnover affects the APR as well and that is largely on Cross.

Actually it may. with UConn and us out of post-season it increases the chances of other teams getting in. Somebody on the NCAA board had a good one-if Toledo wins the MAC next year and can't play in the tournament the MAC will be a no-bid league. Not sure they quite grasp the structure of the MAC post-season tournament.
One less Championship...

...UT can purchase since the men won't get to play in the NIT next year.
Only be able to purchase the WNIT for Tricia.

Does the post-season ban apply to the MAC Tournament?
