New Redhawks Coach

I missed this earlier but Miami named John Cooper from Tennessee State as its new head coach. That surprises me. I thought that job would go to assistant coach Jermaine Henderson. He'd been with Charlie Coles at Miami for the last 15 years. He even filled in as head coach when Charlie had some health issues in the past. Think Jenifer Roos here. Another article said Henderson has taken an assistant job at Missouri State. And, last year's returning leading scorer for Miami, a freshman guard, has asked for his release and intends to transfer. Tough times for the Redhawks.
