Actually you probably want to thank our own teams 16 wins from a year ago from keeping us off this list.
This is bleacher report we are talking about. They aren't going to look at the in depth things that make a program bad like we do here on a message board. This are going to look at records from the past couples years and go off that

Some of those schools have been to the NCAA tournament much recently than we have. NIU is one of them.

I have a feeling we are in for a long year here. Cant wait to make it out to my first BG basketball game of the year, although Im not sure when that will be. I could be wrong we could end up running the table but I highly doubt it. However my wife loves basketball, I love BG hence we will be at as many games as we can.

I do believe that BG has gone the longest amount of time between NCAA trips of any MAC school -- easily.BleedOrange wrote:Some of those schools have been to the NCAA tournament much recently than we have. NIU is one of them.
BG has never won the MAC tournament, and it's been since 1968 since they went to the NCAA tourney.
Think about that: we're coming up on 45 years without a trip to the NCAAs!
That is one helluva drought and if I were the AD, it would be my first priority to fix, especially given a brand new basketball facility. Our AD, however, seems to be in no hurry to find excellence for the program...
