Good luck to "Anderson Animals"

Class of 2002 here and one of the originators of the Sideline Squad, what ever Matthew P. Lyons says. Not sure who that cat is...
To clear up a few things:
1. We were NEVER, EVER frat guys. In fact, we were anti-frat guys. Sorry if we gave off that impression. We're really sorry.
2. We LOVE the game of basketball. The reason we started the Sideline Squad (which I think is a catchy name) is because we enjoyed going to the games, acting stupid and wanted to get a student section going like the bigger programs have (i.e. Duke, Michigan State). I think we succeeded on that.
3. We have all since graduated and left the Sideline Squad to, well, people less responsible and it fizzled. That sucks, but then again, we all had the real world to start and bigger problems to attend to.
We are all still close friends and talk on a consistent basis, whether our jobs have taken us across the state or across the country. But being in the Sideline Squad and going to games 2-3 hours early, tailgating in the Jerome Library and catching a glance at the cheerleaders during timeouts, were all fond memories and some of the best of our college experience.
For those of you that enjoyed the passion and stupid antics we brought to each home game, thanks. Those of you that hated us, probably jealous you didn't think of it sooner and we're sorry if we offended anyone.
Good luck to the Anderson Animals and I think I would like to get to a home game this year and check out the team, the Anderson Animals and of course the cheerleaders.
