While watching Western Michigan and Michigan play last night on BTN, freshman Caris LeVert entered the game for Michigan. LeVert is the player whom had signed last year to play for Ohio University then decided against it once John Groce left for Illinois. He was free to go once Groce left and, he did. According to BTN commentator Jimmy Jackson, Michigan couldn't be happier as they expect him to be a fine player over the next few years.
LeVert is from Pinkerington Ohio which is relatively close to Athens. He was also offered scholarships to Purdue, Xavier, and Dayton.

That shows the utmost importance to mid-majors in having the right coach. For mid-major success, it begins and ends with the coach.

I saw him play in HS and was not impressed. Then again I wasn't impressed by Trey Burke either. Michigan does a good job of getting guys I am not impressed by.

You weren't impressed by Trey Burke, yet you think Richaun Holmes is a stud. LOL

Richaun Holmes has shown a ton of potential. I think the sky is the limit with that guy if he is coached right. And I saw Trey Burke in hs 3 times and he wasn't impressive at all Guest44. That's a small sample but there were 2 jrs on his team that showed much better. The both play at Dayton now.

You weren't impressed by Burke...but you think Jordan Crawford is... as they say...a baller. You say "potato"...the rest of the world says "actually, that's a tree"

I'm impressed by him now. You didn't see him in any of the games I did so you have no idea if you would be impressed or not. Crawford is fine.
I have never heard of guest44 before. And Flipper is, well flipper. I expect transfer to BGSU around some time.

I'll defend your honor (not that you need it). Burke was one of those guys who pretty much blew up during his senior year but didn't have hardly any offers until then (except for Penn State).
It was after his senior season when he got a lot of attention and Matta helped him get a scholarship to UM, even though he didn't have room to take him on at OSU since he already had Craft and Scott.

Appreciate it.
