5-10 years ago, I probably wouldn't have missed a play of any game, and I completely forgot they were even playing tonight!
Unfortunately, I think that is what many think of our men's BB program right now.

Just gave UND its 3rd win of the season, probably in front of about 800 fans. Wish I had an answer. So frustrating.

Well it's Christmas season, Lou felt the need to give North Dakota its' first D1 win. Attention Mr. Fundraiser, this program is toast.

I went to the Mich St game a couple weeks ago, and it was really awesome. The crowd was good, and they got into it for the most part. But one thing that bugged me the most was having a full student section sitting on their hands the whole game. I mean we went toe to toe for 35 minutes with one of the perennial powerhouses of college basketball, and I barely heard a peep (no pun intended) from them. I couldn't believe it. Might as well put my elderly church congregation there instead.

I hate to always be negative about the program, because I highly respect coach Orr's class and faith in God, but there just seems to be nothing to be excited about at the moment.

Well this coach would probably prefer it to be an elderly church congregation in there. The fans have no connection to the team. That is a function of being awful to watch, and having a coach with the personality of the wall. Oh well, Mr. Fundraiser has a good feel for what to do next. NOTHING.

I confess. I listened to the whole game. Outside of getting outrebounded 42-25, the futility of the game is this: Who do you want to take the last 2 shots? In fact, with 21 or so seconds to go, and possession and a timeout left, my favorite point guard drives to the basket and, I guess, doesn't even draw iron as he's blocked. BG fouls, goes down by 3 on the 2 made free throws, and with 12 seconds left, takes the final timeout that they should have taken with 20 seconds left, drive to the basket and guess who takes the "3"?
Miss. Game over.
Pretty much guaranteed to be 5-8 heading into the MAC season.

This loss is embarrassing. I like Orr, he's a great person, but so was Dakich. Time for a change.

This team was 5-5 having only played 1 road game. We all saw this coming. This team has little mental toughness. The only Orr coached team that did was the Nate Miller team which had been coached by Dakich for 2 years. Thankfully, the hideous MAC is around the corner just in time for Lou to play boring, grind out basketball in hopes of landing the 8 seed. Mr. Fundraiser has to be a little worried "directionally".

What moron schedules a road game on a Friday at North Dakota between Christmas and New Years?
