Uh, there was a game tonight.

BG won.

Observations:

1. Kraus was being a punk by talking smack and giving forearms after he fouled. You should probably be able to score and defend before you do that crap.

2. Holmes was replaced for defensive purposes by Black on several occasions. I guess shot blocking is overrated.

3. Uh, nothing else seemed to stand out.

4. To liven up things, instead of "Topless Night", maybe the Dance Team could have "Celebrate the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys Night" and not shave their armpits for several days before the game.

5. I sneaked in Milk Dubs and Sour Patch Kids. I'm a bad boy. Live on the edge, I always say.

6. Going to miss Saturday's game because of the Pinewood Derby. I'm hoping some Brownies do a mid-Derby dance routine.

Discuss...

There was an earlier thread that someone was mentioning something about being negative in our posts on this site. We won tonight, and a win is a win, I guess (there's your positive). But a win can feel like a loss when 1.) Your team plays like dogshit 2.)the other team plays that much worse than you and 3.)you have to waste 2 hours of your life watching just horrible, horrible, horrible basketball. And tonight's "win" felt like a bad loss. This team really sucks with a flat out horrible, horrible, horrible coach by the name of Louis Orr. And because that MAC is so freaking terrible this year, with performances like what Miami did tonight, this lethargic, uninspiring, clueless head coach more than likely gets to hold on to his job and provide us with the same absolute crap next year. I might be a tad negative, but this absolutely joke of a program deserves it.

It didn't feel like a loss to me.

It didn't feel like a loss to me either. It felt more like a 8th grade girls game with Louis Orr as coach.

That's what sucks. This program is in the crapper thanks to this crappy coaching staff but yet we still eek out enough wins with the awfulness of the Mac that we're likely stuck with him again next year.

Hopefully he'll resign. I know it won't happen but I can dream.

Important to remember that while we are the 5th seed, we're in 6th. Still, I expect Coach Orr to be back next year.

I am convinced he will be fired. I can name the high school stats of every player on the team and I watched my DVR episode of Joe Schmoe last night never considering turning it over to BG. I did consider watching Akron OU but forgot. If he is not fired I can't imagine a scenario where I watch beyond the first few games and then I realize he still has horrible rotations, doesn't develop players and is clueless when it comes to game time decisions. I don't say I won't watch in a protest way. I say it because it isn't interesting in any way for me to watch.

I'm mixed...it's difficult to ask a coach to be a lame duck and Orr has done nothing to warrant an extension. OTOH...I question our willingness and ability to fire him and eat a year's salary or whatever firing him would cost. We're mediocrity defined right now and next year promises to be worse. In a perfect world, he's gone. But....this is far from a perfect world.

1. He'll only resign if he gets a message from G-d.
2. He'll only be fired if the money people tell the administration to fire him.

Wasn't the Bill Frack gift supposed to be used to better the program? Can any of that money be used for a buyout?

Mr. Frack's gift doesn't go into effect until he passes away.

You suck....joking about a person dying because you dislike a basketball coach?

Nope. Simply stating what another year of Louis Orr basketball could do to someone. Nothing to do with Frack and dying. All about Louis Orr and the quality of basketball he provides.
