1. Clarke, Tisdale
2. Denny/Henderson
3. Sealey, Parker
4. Holmes
5. Black
Also, I see many situations where Black rotates out and is replaced with someone like Parker or one of the guards.
I'm not counting on either of the 6-10, 8ppg-high-school guys sticking if Orr leaves.
It's very hard to speculate on what Denny and Tisdale can do for us right out of the gate.
Clarke has shown nothing that says he can be our PG and a ton that says he can't.
Sealey has transitioned to more of a PF as he added weight. I hope he can play SF but I am not sure that's the case. He also just hasn't done much with the PT he has gotten.
Other then that we nearly completely agree.
Holmes and Clarke are your stars next year. Black-Sealey are your next 2 best players.
Disagree on Clarke: Clarke has great court vision and can distribute the ball to open players well. He's a willing passer and can get in the lane in a blink. However, he does make me a little nervous with his risk taking and tendency to play out of control. I think that having a good coach over the past couple of years could have helped with this.
Concerning Sealey: He is still thin and super quick. He is extremely quick of the floor and has a nose for the ball on rebounds. He moves very quickly in half court sets. Furthermore, I don't believe that he has the strength or body weight to be a consistent position low-post defender.
I have a POV on statistics that I'd like you to carefully consider. When you play 10mpg, your minutes are inconsistent and spotty. You are never quite sure when you're going to suddenly be on the court. When you go in games, you are thrown into a heated situation against players that are already heated. Psychologically, this has an impact on what a player does. The inevitable disorientation causes tentativeness. It can also freeze a players shooting abilities.
Compare that with a someone who plays consistently and is always in the flow of the game. Furthermore, because limited "observations", there is a larger error factor in how statistics reveal actual ability
and "would-be" performance if the player played consistently...it's bad science. Basically, there is FAR too strong of a tendency in this forum to hold bad statistics against part-time players. If you do not understand this, I'd highly recommend STATS 211, the initial Statistics class that business majors take at BG. This sort of knowledge is critical for being a good consumer of data and information.
Thats a very wierd ending to a post....but aside from that, you are trying to say that these guys can do things they have never been shown to do based off the fact that they don't get consistent time nor have consistent roles. You are doing the exact same thing you are saying people are doing here, but instead of looking at the negative evidence, which there is more of, you are making up positive evidence. Clarke and Sealey were worthless with the time they got for much of the year. They have flashed potential but more often, even when they have gotten the minutes, they have been either invisible or highly visible in a negative way. If you look soley at their athleticism they are at the higher end for potential star players on the squad. Potential too. However, Clarke can't handle the ball well enough to use this court vision you suggest he has, and his lack of decision making combines to make him even more of a liability at the one. His quick first step and athleticism tell me is a better fit at the 2 even if he can sometimes play the 1. As far as Sealey goes, he is athletic, but doesn't have the wing skills to play outside, and we ask our 3's to do that, pretty much everyone does.
Sealey has played over 15 minutes in 8 games this year. His stat line
11/9 Lake Erie 16 mins 4pts 4rebs
11/19 Robert Morris 16 mins 7pts 4rebs
12/1 Youngstown St 19 mins 6pts 1reb
1/26 Toledo 15 mins 2pts 3reb
1/30 Akron 19 mins 10pts 3reb
2/2 Ball St 19 mins 4pts 2reb
2/9 OU 16 mins 8pts 12reb
2/23 IPFW 18 mins 3pts 1 reb
His main trait is that he is athletic and runs the floor well. He isn't a good shooter, rebounder, won't get you assists or a ton of steals-even with his athleticism.

I am glad Clarke and Sealey are in the rotation but I don't want Clarke handling the ball as a one and I don't think Sealey should be starting unless we absolutely can't find another small forward.
