So I was watching Spring Training between NYR and PHI today, and they were talking about who was going to the tournament, and they were making fun of BG talking about BG winning it all...I don't even know what to say to that.

Are you sure that they weren't talking about Brittney Griner and Baylor winning the women's NCAA title?

Spring training hockey? Seems like the Rangers and Flyers might want to worry more about the season at hand, with the playoffs coming up.

Why? We're not in the tournament...we weren't even close to getting into the tournament...we didn't make any tournament...and it's a baseball(?) game is between New York and Philadelphia.

Yeah some more information on this would be very helpful. I assume this game was on ESPN, was Orel Hersheiser apart of the broadcast team? If so he may have just been trying to get some support in for the school he went for. I doubt he follows BG basketball so if the topic was brought up and he was on the boardcast team he may have just been showing some support for the school he played baseball at.

The only place I know that shows spring training baseball is MLB network...and they usually just pick up the local feed of either the comcast or foxsportsnet cable channel for one of the teams.

Who is "they", the announcers or the people sitting in front of you in the stands?

Could it be that BG Hoops has acquired a national reputation for sucking? I don't think that we've sucked well enough to merit such a distinction.

It was on ESPN, and I think the announcers were just joking. They were talking about the March Madness and one of the announcers said something about, "how about those bowling green falcons," and then they went on to say that they didn't have a great season and something else. I admit that I did pick a bad name for the title of this thread...but it got people's attention away from the coach a little bit....I hope.
