Another thought....
Perhaps it would be best if Orr stepped down and let LaMonte Stone finish the year as head coach. Certainly Stone couldn't perform any worse than Orr, and Stone would leave BGSU after 10+ years of service with some head coaching experience on his resume. Chauncey is redshirting so he'll have two years of eligibility at his next program - we could save him the indignity of sitting at the end of the bench while his father rides out his lame duck season.
Does BGSU basketball really have anything to gain by having Orr finish out the year?

Wishful thinking. He's a lame duck, that is for sure.BGSU33 wrote:Is his true? Is C. Why would we turn anything over to a guy who was a subpar recruiter for Dakich and even less of a recrutier under Louis? LaMonta should be holding the door for Louis so it doesn't hit either one of them on the way out.
Re: Turn to Stone?
The only thing that should possibly be turned over to Stone is the BGHS job, but that is a totally different mess.

I wouldn't care for this year, but the whole staff needs to be blown out of here at year end. We need a fresh start.

I'd argue the staff is actually more of the problem than Orr himself.

Just for the remainder of the season. Yes, the whole staff should and will certainly go after we lose to another shitty team at home in the first round of the MAC tourney for the 3rd f'g year in a row.
(...funny, there was a time when Stone was consider one of the better mid-major assistants)

If the team is as bad as we think it is, no way they are getting a home game in the MAC tournament. The Orr era will likely end on the road against the 5 or 6 seedBleedOrange wrote:OptionQB wrote:Why would we turn anything over to a guy who was a subpar recruiter for Dakich and even less of a recrutier under Louis?
