And our post didn't get many opportunities until the outside shots started going down. 10 - 3's I believe, regardless the most 3's of the year for this team. They simply are not far away from being a contender in this division.

For gray uniforms they weren't horrible. Some would predict our school colors will change to orange and black. I would like to suggest orange and gray. A lot of gray warm-ups being worn. This is the color the athletes seems to prefer. I'll keep my brown shirts but I'm not sure the athletic department will keep them. I guess they should have put gray seats in the Stroh.

Classic Louis Orr. Plays 6 guys all night and takes out Holmes for crunch time Then, after being heckled by fans near the bench, puts Holmes back in so late that he has to wait for the next dead ball. Clueless Louis at his finest last night. Play a zone against this team and BG will lose 9 out of 10 times. 5 or 6 more uninspired slop fests with Clueless Louis on the sidelines. Folks, we have almost made it .

Well, if we're going to switch one of the colors to gray, let's go all the way and make the other scarlet. That way, I won't have to change anything when I'm rooting for my two favorite teams! Makes sense, right?

I mean, who gives a damn about 100 years of tradition? It's what the players right now like (who cares that a year or two from now they'll like black better, or maybe purple...but we can change the colors then, too, can't we?)

As for the game...I'm just counting the days until this season is over.

OMG, I could not disagree more regarding the uniforms! I thought they looked effing awesome. By FAR the my favorite hoops uniforms over the past 15 years or so. I knew that it'd piss off the brown obsessed among us, but damn I though they looked great.

As to the game on the court, it was more of the same. Miami in zone and we couldn't even get the ball in to our bigs, let alone let them do anything with it. When Parker or Holmes DID take shots many times it looked like they were trying to force something that really wasn't there. Late in the 2nd half we started making 3s right and left to make the game closer than it probably should have been, but overall we struggled. Our defense was pretty porous as well. At times they played good defense, but whenever they truly needed to make a stop our guards would fall asleep and there were multiple times that their guards were able to take it all the way to the rim.

Not to mention that at one time I think Miami was like 12-12 from the free throw line and we were 9 of 17 or something like that. At the time that was pretty much the difference in the game.

It was amazing how they were able to clear the right side of the lane and get easy, uncontested layups when they needed points. Their 3 pt shooting was consistent throughout the game and often stopped our momentum. Ours was mainly at the end attempting to get back in the game.

I don't know why they switched to that zone... The man-to-man started off tight and held the unathletic Miami offense in check. They switch to the 2-3 and give up open three to close the first half. We needed the defense to face guard Miami's two shooters and we win the game.
I know Cam Black is a decent passer and rebounder but he is one of the most unathletic centers I have ever seen - he MUST be able to score a little if BG is going to win consistently....

I like tradition but that's simply sports marketing. Cleveland Cavs / Cavaliers - wine and gold to blue and orange and back again. Miami Dolphins added a color, replaced a color or my television looks much different. UCLA seems to have gone to a darker blue. Chicago White Sox from Black & White to Red, White and Blue and back again. The Padres, Astros, Braves and many other MLB teams have changed shades of colors or colors completely.

I like retro uniforms for this very reason and sometime it sticks and the old colors come back.

I also like the uniforms. I believe we wore them earlier this season down in Cancun. As for the game itself, in typical fashion, just when this team gets you thinking they might be decent, they lay another egg. The difference in the game for me was they hit their free throws and we didn't. Pretty even game outside of that. We also missed a lot of easy makable shots in the paint right at the rim. This team flat out sinks in home games in the MAC.

Louie coaches with no sense of urgency. We're at the 10 or 8 minute mark and he's just standing on the sidelines shrugging his shoulders. Then he benches Holmes.

Well, no matter, only 13 more games in the Orr era.
