Toledo is coming off a very tough 95-90 overtime loss at Ohio, and I expect the Rockets to take out some frustrating here. Remember how bad Toledo was just a couple years ago? Man did they blow past us while we've been spinning our wheels in the church parking lot under Orr.

Merciful heavens, let this train wreck be over with soon. The take-away part of this post is that it only took Toledo two years to be competitive. That means I might still be alive to see it happen.....

With luck, Bill Frack might also be.

UT is proof that the turnaround can happen sooner then later if the right person is hired. I know the names that will come up for the job around here after the season will likely all be assistant coaches, but going the way UT did, getting a successful head coach from a lower D1 conference, may be the way we should go. Kingston has already proven to be a fan of that way with the Babers hire, question is will he do the same in this situation.

Can we afford to pay an assistant at a Big School what they are already making? It seems that is the problem in football.

I like the idea of a guy that has actually run a program and brings real experience even if it was from a lower level program.

When its brought up in football I always have the same thought and it applies here too. If the assistants at the big time schools really really really want to be a head coach, they more likely then not are gonna have to take some kind of pay cut at their first head coaching job.

8-[ One think certain is, our M basketball program hasn't generated much revenue from ticket sales in the last few years.

I believe the Falcons stayed in Toledo last night. I saw them in the background shooting around on the Tues. 6 o'clock news. Game should go on without a hitch in spite of the 10 inch snow fall.

First few minutes was the difference in the game. UT punched BG in the mouth to start the game. BG fought back but couldn't overcome the slow start, falling 83-76. But the stat of the game was Toledo with 27 more free throws for the game than BG!!!! UT was 29-35 from the line while BG was just 7-8. No way we have enough offensive firepower to overcome that discrepancy. Also, UT's "bench" outscored BG's "chair" 18-2.

Pretty clear the refs cost us the game.
