Yes indeed ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment we've all been waiting for - the MAC Tournament (aka The BG Graveyard)! Yes, it's the 35th year of the tournament where BG has never - that's right - NEVER - won the event! Ball State has won it 7 times, Ohio has claimed it 6 times, Kent State has won it 5 times, Miami and EMU have both won it 4 times, Akron won it 3 times, CMU won 2 of them, and Toledo, WMU and NIU each won it once. Then, we have the Bowling Falcons....oh yes, the gold old Orange & Brown. Not only has BG never won it, the Falcons also hold the dubious honor of having the second worst wining percentage in the event. And while a MAC East school has won the MAC Tournament in each of the last 9 years with four different teams winning titles (Ohio 3, Akron 3, Kent State 2, Miami 1), BG hasn't even advanced to Cleveland the past couple years despite hosting first round games.

So step right up and buy those tickets BG fans, let's pack The Q with orange and cheer on Coach Orr and his Falcons! The Ohio Lottery is running a ticket promotion of turning in a non-winning ticket for a buy one ticket get one free deal. And for those out of their mind and crazy enough to think BG could win this thing, keep in mind your chances of winning the Ohio Classic Lotto is greater than BG winning this tournament. No question there will be some for our women's team, and there should be. And the turnout and atmosphere we had in the MAC Championship fief football was awesome (much better than the bowl game). Hell, even the turnout and support for the baseball team in the MAC Tournament was better than what we get in men's hoops.

NIU all over us early 10-2. We look like $hit! We have twice as many turnovers (4) as we do points (2). Black with hands like stone and Clarke crossed himself up and fell on his ass while throwing the ball away that led to a breakaway dunk.

NIU leads 30-26 at halftime.

Ohio beats Ball State and Miami defeats Kent State. OU and Miami move on to Cleveland and will play each other, winner faces Akron.

Eastern going to win as well. Home teams 3-0 so that means BG will win and we got Orr for 2 more days.

BG now up 37-34 with 13:50 to go.

Why are we continuing to feed Black the ball and have him shoot like he is Patrick Ewing??? He not! He is slow, off-balance and lethargic. Damn man! Couple more missed shots by Black and BG is now down again.
