I'm impressed and feel this was a very mature decision by Chauncey Orr. Obviously he has a few things pushing and pulling at him that none of the other players are dealing with in terms of his dad being the former coach here, but I was very impressed with his responses in this story. I'm sure there was added pressure for playing for his dad, but now Chauncey can focus on himself and his teammates and I believe we are going to see a much better player in him under a new coach. I'm excited to see him on the floor for BG next season.

Everyone on the board was sure he was gone but I felt the fraternity of his teammates and his collegiate studies may well be important enough for him to graduate a Falcon. I do hope for his sake the story is about Orr being a senior leader and not about being the son of the former coach. If the latter is the story all year that would be miserable and a distraction.

I agree...in fact I believe I said he'd be staying a month or so ago... 8-) . It's disappointing to read people on this board reacting negatively to his decision to stay. Another instance of "once a Falcon, always a Falcon" applying only to people we like or think are "winners"....

Since I haven't seen him play for over a year, it's hard to say how much he has improved. He may be the SG we need to drive to the basket or make those 12-18 footers that our current players had so much trouble with.

Yeah, this place tends to grow on you.
