Jans back to Wichita?
Cuonzo Martin just took the California job. What does this mean? Most likely Gregg Marshall will be Tennessee's number one target, if he were to leave for Tennessee would Jans return to Wichita State? Similar to the Dan Dakich West Virginia situation years back...
Re: Jans back to Wichita?
Nothing to worry about for now, just speculation. No worries. Jans is our coach.

Whoa there fella, there are a whole bunch of ways things can pan out. No need to raise everyone's dandruff. Permutations of the various possible outcomes, adhering to their natural probabilities and contingencies, yield probability tables of staggering complexity. Just use a little imagination and put your mind at ease.BGfalcon2010 wrote:Cuonzo Martin just took the California job. What does this mean? Flipper, do you still have that "Jump To Conclusions" hopscotch graphic? Looks like we might need it again.

Re: Jans back to Wichita?
Just speculation but he'd make more as an assistant at Tennessee then head coach at bg
Re: Jans back to Wichita?
Coach Marshall has a top 10-15 team coming back at Wichita. Tennessee is a dumpster fire, there is next to no chance leaves a GREAT situation for complete overhaul that was decimated by graduation and early entries. Cuonzo didn't burn the bridge he nepalmed it on the way out. Tennessee loses a ton!

Re: Jans back to Wichita?
Just to add more silliness to this, based on the first post the Dakich/WVU thing wasn't the first thing that jumped to my mind given the parties currently involved. I was reminded of a few years ago when then-Winthrop coach Gregg Marshall was the head coach at the College of Charleston for roughly 30 hours. . . . . . before deciding to head back to Rock Hill.

Jans was the perfect hire and I hope he stays through the duration of his contract, embraces all the community has to offer and builds the winning program he is supremely qualified to do.
That being said, the head coaching position at this university is extremely attractive and will assuredly attract high caliber individuals in perpetuity (to borrow a term from recent events) whenever it happens to come open.
