I thought some of the $20 mil was suppose to help improve the home schedule with guarantees etc. I guess they thought they should use it on recruiting first! Can't disagree if that is true. :?

I saw Ferris State and thought they had linked to the hockey schedule by mistake

Can't pay one team $20 mil to come to the Stroh Center. Need to use it wisely.

I'm interested to see if the Dayton game is just one game or a home-and-home. Before the endowment it would more then likely be just one game at Dayton

To be very, very basic but to clear up some confusion on the endowment.

The Bill Frack endowment did not begin until Bill's passing. At that point, the gift that he generously gave began to accrue interest. That interest (estimated at $675,000 annually from the release in April) is paid out on an annual basis. With Bill's passing in late May, interest has not yet been paid out.

I know that's very basic and may not do all the details justice, but I wouldn't expect to see much of the benefit of the endowment during the 2014-15 season.

That being said, I'm not a lawyer or accountant (just an SID!), so there is likely much more to it than just that.

Ferris is D2 in bball. Is that game an exhibition? The schedule says it isn't.

Did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

Looks like we start out with home games at 4 oclock on weekdays.

Yes. It's the day of the football game at Toledo.

This schedule is fine. BG won 12 games last year. Anything more than this and I'd have to question the sanity of the new staff. As for Ferris State, I'd rather play a Division 2 school than a division lower than that as has been done by the two previous coaches.

When was the majority of the non conference schedule setup? I really don't know how that works in basketball. Would the current coaching staff have had much input into it?
Either way, this year's schedule is the least of my concerns. It's year one. I don't care who we play for now. I hope to see a better product on the floor and believe we will see a big improvement right away. We can worry about the schedule after that starts to happen.

Im starting to see why people get frustrated with the football schedules. I was planning to attend a bunch of games. Can't do it now because of this schedule.

What's wrong with this schedule. Other than the first two home games are at 4:30 PM on a Friday and 4:00 PM on a Wednesday, the remainder of the schedule is almost like every other year.
